At first, she very loudly scolded TJ about proper handling of a chili bowl. A few minutes later, after we sat, she again loudly berated TJ for filling the ice water. We were so deeply bothered by this, we decided to leave.
The coffee was great. Vibes are great. I wanted to let this incident go, but I just can’t. TJ was doing a great job and didn’t deserve to be treated poorly.
I normally would recommend this place to others but lately have been getting not the greatest customer service. The girls behind the counter have been really snippy and rude lately. One example, I brought my mom and daughter up for lunch. We ordered two combo meals, 3 drinks and a blueberry muffin. They called out our drinks, I picked them up. They called out our two combo meals, I picked them up at the counter. I sat down and opened our food and the muffin wasn’t in there. As a normal two year old, my daughter got upset that her muffin wasn’t in the bag. I walked up to the counter, waited for the employee to see me, and I asked if I could get our blueberry muffin. She said, very rude and snippy, “I have a lot of things I’m trying to do, I was just about to get it, so you need to wait.” Mind you, there were 2 other people in the cafe. It wasn’t exactly rush hour. If she had just said “sorry about that, I’ll grab that in a moment” then I wouldn’t have had an issue. This was the second time she had gotten short with me, she got short with me while I tried to order my food. I work in customer service, I know what good customer service is, she did not have good customer service at my last visit.
I haven’t had any complaints about the place until recently. Food is good, it’s a cute little place, I like supporting local small businesses. They do good things, I just think they need to do better at their customer service, that encounter makes me not want to come back.
