Stumbled upon this place. Ordered the biscuits and gravy and they were spectacular. In fact, they were too good to add Tabasco to them. More like country sausage and gravy. Coming from Kentucky these are as good as any I have had back there! Nice job!

Delicious farm to table food. The place doesn’t even have a freezer, so everything is super fresh, sauces are made from scratch, English muffins are freshly baked. Breakfast burritos – yummy and enormous! My personal favorite – shrimp, sprouts, and avocado omelette with feta cheese. Kids hot chocolate came in fancy tall goblets – I really appreciated the aesthetics. Everything was so good!

Picture a restaurant where asking for water, or a spoon, or ketchup or hot sauce yields….an “OK” or “sure” and then…nothing. Because the waitstaff, after leaving your table, enters into a conversation with someone else, and completely forgets the request.
While your coffee grows cold (because you don’t have a spoon to stir the cream and sugar), or your meal goes uneaten (because you’re still waiting for that hot sauce or ketchup), after 2,3,4,5,6,7 minutes, you give up and go get it yourself.
This will happen repeatedly.
Not just to you.
Other people in that same section will also go unattended, to the point where you are walking *your* hot sauce over to *their* table.
I spent most of my younger years waitressing at dozens of locations, every single one of them far busier than this restaurant. All we could surmise is that the wait person, who apparently had a senior position in the restaurant, simply didn’t care.
A pity, because the food was good.

I came up to Lakeport for two things…#1 was to eat at Mike’s Breakfast and Lunch Restaurant, and #2 was to reset the Reverberator Amplifier on old lady Clambanger’s Wobblewacker to the original factory setting then back it up 2 degrees before top dead center, because she says “That’s where Kim Kardashian has hers set to” Well, I got that outta there, and headed straight to Mike’s Breakfast and Lunch Restaurant for one of his world famous Turkey Sandwiches, and let me tell you what…It was Amazing!

This place was nice and clean. We got a table almost right away. Customer service was quick and the lady that took our order was nice. I had the Vegetarian Eggs Benedict. It was quite delicious and filling. My husband had the Huevos Rancheros and it also looked delicious. If you’re local and haven’t visited yet, you’re missing out.

both amazing. I wish the restaurant were closer to home so we could go more often. I ordered over-medium eggs which they executed perfectly, leaving the yolk runny and intact. The biscuits and gravy were excellent as well.

Good food and amazing service. More of American style breakfast (eggs/ benedicts/ potatoes and such). The place is really cold and heating would have enhanced the experience.

Cheryl was a wonderful waitress and food really good. Fresh cooked and Mike ,cook/owner? Was welcoming. Call ahead or otherwise you may wait. In dinning outside only, have 5 to 6 tables at most. But we really enjoyed this spot.
