My husband and I just ordered delivery. I ordered the New York Strip and vegetables hibachi dinner, and my husband ordered the New York Strip Teriyaki Bento dinner. With tip, we paid $60. Neither one of us could eat our steak. We both ordered medium rare. The meat was super squishy feeling and hard to chew. I tried a few pieces, and ended up spitting them out and feeding them to the dog. Upon looking closer, I realized the inside of the meat was literally dark purple. I’m not sure if the issue was only how undercooked it was, but it did not have the texture of steak to me at all. Usually I love ordering from Yamato’s, but tonight I can only think of the $60 I spent for food I couldn’t stand to eat. I don’t think I’ll be ordering again for a while. SUPER disappointed

I have been to this store many times. I am a sashimi lover. My husband likes to eat their iron plate. Every time he comes to eat it, it feels good. The sashimi is as fresh as ever. I will come back next time.

I took my grandaughter for lunch yesterday .She loves Japanese food .We tried several items .Everything was good. The Lobster Rangoon could have used a little more Lobster. The spring rolls ,fried rice and California rolls were very good .Our server was very attentive and friendly .The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated .We will go back .

I enjoyed my recent visit to Yamato steak house. They service was great and the food was good. I really liked the steak teriyaki platter. The rice was really good and I liked the spring roll too. The white tuna sushi was ok, not the best I’ve had but not the bad either. Overall I recommend giving this place a visit if your in the area.

Their godzilla roll is good, and I enjoyed the fresh fruit green tea I got as well. The service was fantastic – attentive, quick, and welcoming. The restaurant itself feels a little bit dirty though, which is why I am giving it a 4 star rating. It is outdated, and our table still had some crumbs on it from the previous patron.

Fast, friendly service in a sparkling clean establishment. A reasonably-priced menu with numerous options, many unique to this restaurant. The soup was light but bursting with flavor, the jade roll was surprisingly refreshing, and the rest of the items we ordered (spring rolls, gyoza, dragon roll, shrimp tempura roll, and shrimp cucumber roll) were outstanding. Best sushi and service I’ve had in quite a while!

Not too bad the first time I went. I had General Tso’s chicken and white rice. It tasted amazing and very fresh. My wife had shrimp and lo mein and she absolutely loved it. Staff was very friendly and the service was quick. The atmosphere is pretty cool as well! The second time I went I had the same thing and it tasted very soggy. I could barely eat it. But it happens so I am still willing to try them again!

Highly recommend! Food is always great tasting and hot! Service is fast and to the point. The environment is always “chill” and clean! Some of the food can be pricey, but it is worth it in many ways! I hope this location doesn’t disappear from Huntington.

The decor at this restaurant really makes it for me. It is a really cute place. The rolls are very, very similar to Tokyo in Columbia City, I think they are possibly owned by the same people. The rolls I ordered were good, but they had a lot of tempura flakes, and I think they definitely overpowered the rolls a little too much.
