The Dileo family & the Log House Restaurant staff welcome you! Founded in 1972 by Mary and Joe Dileo, then completed in 1973, it quickly became a warm and welcoming gathering place for the community. Over the years, the Log House has grown to nearly 4,800 square feet of dining space. Gary has been at the heart of the Log House since he was 16, managing the kitchen and giving countless hours to honor his parents’ vision. Today, as he begins the “slow” transition toward retirement – his son Tony has stepped into his role, working closely alongside his uncle Paul. Paul’s steady commitment and Tony’s fresh energy, together they represent both the strength of the present and the promise of the future.

In response to the owner’s post: The waitress did not tell me until AFTER she gave me a third cup of coffee that there would be an additional charge for another cup of coffee. Also: If you look at the menu, your costs for beverages are not listed!
I fully understand how costs are going up for restaurants – but it would be nice to have full transparency of what you charge your customers before they order anything! And not have hidden charges!
In fact, if you don’t have full transparency of what you are going to charge customers – then why would anyone want to eat at the restaurant?
Classic American food. We loved that it felt like we stepped back in time when we walked through the front door. The menu for lunch had so many great options that we were excited to eat there as soon as we read it. The cheese pull on the mozzarella sticks was epic. My mozz stick loving fiancé was so stoked. He said the burger was amazing, also.
I got the beer battered fish sandwich, which was fried to astonishing perfection. The crunch was still there even when I spread tartar sauce on it. Their French onion soup was delightful, as well. I love picking the cheese off of the crock, and it was just the right amount.
This is our new favorite spot to eat when we go fishing. Love finding places like this!

11/2022 – If I had one basic restaurant to patronize this would be it. Everything always satisfies. The chicken wings are great now. NOTE: The Log House no longer has dinner service but the menu still has all the favorites. Hours: 7:30AM – 3:00PM daily.

1/22 -The Classic and Buffalo chicken sandwiches burst with flavor, fine ingredients and true perfection. Great French toast. Fine fried seafood platter and cod sandwich, too.

Loved the special burger with garlic aioli, bacon, cheddar, onions, lettuce & tomato, curly fries & pickles the other day. Awesome.

Dreamy beef patty melt the other day. The chicken parmesan grinder was really tasty as well as both rodeo burgers with hot crispy onion rings.

Had a craving for their rare roast beef grinder today. The lunch special hot prime rib sandwich with beef au jus was incredible.

Enjoyed their delicious blueberry pancakes again with grilled sausage links and coffee.

Loved lunch yesterday: Grilled pot roast sandwich with cheese and sautéed onions on rye, and a well-done Rodeo burger with fried onion, cheddar, bacon & BBQ sauce. Scrumptious.

More good food at the Log House: Beef stew & fried clam strips.

Another fine meal Labor Day, now open with social distancing. Lemonade and blue orange martinis with fried calamari – hot, crunchy and tender. Two grinders: cold rare roast beef with provolone and toasted meatball with mozzarella, peppers and onions. Both big enough to take half home.

We’ve ordered takeout here twice since restaurants closed indoor dining with COVID restrictions. Eating here for years, we’re familiar with their food. Like most eateries, they have a current takeout menu and many specials each evening. Their food is always reliably good. Delicious breakfast food and fresh fish to surmise.
In April, we ordered lobster bisque (so wonderful you think you’re eating lobster), a Rueben, hot tuna grinder, fish & chips and penne with meat & cheese. The penne was not on the current menu but longtime chef Gary said he’d make it for us. He’s a real nice guy and the son of the founders, Joseph and Mary Dileo.
The penne was the best meal of the four. The Reuben was described as okay. The tuna seemed to have a change in its flavor. The fish and chips were a thumbs up on the fish – moist, crunchy haddock, a good portion size, but the fries seemed to taste like fish, as if fried in the same oil. Maybe during this time, they were short on supplies or didn’t know when they would be replenished? A cup of chili that came with the fish was tasty.
Our bill was $15. to $20. dollars over what it should have been looking at the receipt, as we used a current menu at home. Last night I mentioned this and was told, “someone might have made a mistake.” Apparently.
A hot open turkey sandwich, Shepherd’s pie, whole belly clams and a BBQ combo of chicken and ribs with baked potato and choice of vegetables were all pleasing. The Shepherd’s pie came with soup or salad and the chicken with rice soup was pleasantly noted. Feedback on the hot open sandwich was positive as it was real turkey. They roast and grind their own meats.
Two specials were equally satisfying, especially the whole belly clams. Fried in a light batter, tender, with lemon and tartar sauce accompaniments. The portion was large enough to share.
The BBQ dish, newer for their menu, had a nice sweet sauce, good portion of a chicken breast with wing and three double ribs: flavorful but a little dry. The baked potato was perfect.
Two vegetable sides were left out of our order. When I called they said they’d replace them. Living nearby we drove back before they closed. We opened the fries in the car and took a bite. Just as they should be. Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside.
Great place to eat. We hope it will remain open for as long as possible. Stop by!

Casual environment with large menu. Cocktails. Event room.
