Authentic Italian Bistro tucked away in Lincoln. Was walking past at lunch time and the posted menu caught my eye with the New York Deli Panini.

It was delicious as was the Cannoli Siciliana I had for afters.

Absolute fantastic place! Small with family vibe and an authentic Italian feeling. Food is very tasty and although the menu is not excessive the meals you buy are amazing and worth every penny! Prices are adorable and the location is very convenient – close to the centre!
Highly recommended! Definitely will come back

Delicious food, wonderful staff, great little find in Lincoln. We were lucky to get a table as this place is only small. I’d advise booking!
Preferred payment is cash, though we weren’t aware and paid with a card which was fine.
Will definitely go again.

Great little place with food prepared by the owner/chef. She clearly understand flavours and served food with love. We all had different pasta dishes and dessert with a glass of red wine. Perfect start to the weekend

Feel like this place has gone down hill. Used to hear and smell the guy cooking in the kitchen but even though the place was nearly full I think they were just reheating the food in there. Marinated olives were just the plain cheap ones you get from Tesco, chicken penne pasta was watery like it had been reheated from frozen and the chicken was just the sliced cooked chicken you get from Tesco.

Booked over a week ago as noted previous good reviews. Arrived on time and shown to the table. Very cosy with the other 4 tables (it is based in a converted terrace house). Plastic table covers with the plastic menu’s being the place mats.
Food was good but just not what we expected. Service was rushed and not conducive to a relaxing meal. Other diners left before we did and the front door was left open causing a draught throughout. As there were only 4 of us left (it was only 20.15 & supposedly doesn’t close until 21.30) we quickly got the message to leave.
Unfortunately we will not be going back to this “restaurant “. We were home before 21.00!
As ever reviews are very subjective but this disappointed on all levels.

Just nipped in for a quick lunch soon bumped into the chef who was from Iran but been into Italian food all his life. This is a delight and a serious contender for lunch. Very authentic and comes highly recommended

From the outside, it looks like another tacky eatery in a street lined with tacky takeaways. Walk through the door and pleasantly surprised.

A little deli counter, a back room then a garden.

The garden overlooks a derelict abandoned overgrown garden. Not a problem, I am used to this in Athens. What is the problem, and I don’t see in Athens, tenants throwing rubbish out of their windows into the garden. It is ideal breeding ground for rats. The local environmental health should investigate, and if needed carry out enforcement action.

To sit outside or not? Maybe too cool when the sun went in, and too hot if it came out as no shade.

I decided to sit inside, near the back door.

A red rose on the table is a neat touch.

I was the only diner. Oh but we were busier earlier. Strange how I am always told, if you’d have been here when you weren’t here, we were busy.

The menu was singurly uninspiring. Why panini’s? Everywhere does paninis. I have never understood why.

Or pasta. The choice penne (which I don’t like), or spaghetti (which I dislike slightly less)

I chose spaghetti Bolognese. It arrived seemingly quick. I was asked when I placed my order, did I wish for Parmesan cheese? It was added in the kitchen. Usually brought to and added at the table.

Spaghetti Bolognese is not an Italian dish. It was an artificial dish with elements of North and South.

The spaghetti mediocre at best, the Bolognese sauce excellent.

I was going to leave but decided to stay. I chose tiriamasiu for dessert.

Coffee, Illy, no thanks.

For coffee walk to Madame Waffle or Coffee Aroma.

I visited a couple of weeks ago, the previous week I found closed.

I booked this place for my 25th birthday with my family. There was 13 of us so for a small place it was going to be a big order! They could not have been more accommodating and helpful. The food was incredible, the service was perfect and they made me feel so special! They catered for the two children and were so patient with them, and also my auntie who is gluten-intolerant. I brought in a cake and forgot to get candles, to which they got some for me and even shut the doors as the wind kept blowing them out! I will recommend this place to anyone who wants a perfect Italian dinner. Thank you so much 🙂

We came here for an early evening meal before a summer concert. Sat in the back garden which has a lovely atmosphere. Excellent 3 courses with a lot of flavour, including the best tiramisu I’ve had for a long time, and very friendly service. And a good bottle of house white. This place looks very unassuming from the outside but don’t be fooled, it has hidden depths. Would definitely choose this place to eat again.
