I came here in the morning on a Sunday around 9. I ordered an Irish Coffee, Cactus Mike, and The Tuscan.
Irish Coffee: This was my first time trying Irish whiskey, but I generally have a preference for stiff drinks. The way that this was balanced though; the whiskey was not too overpowering, and mixed well with the coffee and cream
The Tuscan: This was my first time trying Burrata Cheese. For anyone else new to it, imagine a mozzarella ball, but with a cottage cheese curd texture inside. The tomatoes, spinach and cheese were fresh, and cooked to perfection to preserve the balance between the flavor and temperature of the dish. The eggs were unseasoned, but there are condiments at each table you can use, such as hot sauce ( Tabasco, Cholula) and salt and pepper. With hashbrowns, you normally have to be concerned with them being overcooked to the point of being too crunchy or undercooked to be soggy, but that was not an issue here. The bacon bits were cooked to a good balanced crisp too, and the balsamic vinaigrette added just the right tang to the dish.
Cactus Mike: The fruit was fresh, and you could actually taste it quite well through the dish. You can tell they were fresh because the yogurt was not mixed in thoroughly to mask the taste. Whoever sources the fruit here did well.
Overall time and preparation: I did not wait long after ordering, which was surprising with the exceptional quality of the dishes. For reference, it was between 5-7 minutes wait for the dishes, and it was out pretty quick.
Customer Service: Friendly and approachable. They kept approaching and refilling drinks quite quickly and were excellent in terms of response and initiative. It’s a place I’d like to return to, especially with some friends or the fam.
Atmosphere: Music plays over the speakers, but I would say it’s at a reasonable volume for someone showing up in the morning to grab brunch. Whoever operates the AUX had some good songs on there too; its a unique atmosphere that makes you almost think of a cafe with notes of a chill place to hang out for a bit.
Definitely will return when I’m not busy.
The biscuits and gravy with some of the best we’ve ever had. The gravy is very flavorful and delicious.
The French toast was full of flavor and absolutely a treat to enjoy.
The sausage links were surprisingly flavorful and well seasoned.
We love supporting small, local businesses. Highly recommend giving them a try. You won’t regret it.
Having said that, if you don’t have have any allergies or sensitivities, this place would be great, however, for me this place goes on my “No-go” list, too risky for me to eat there.
We never leave hungry! Great coffee and amazing spicy bloody marys! The girls all work amazing together making sure everyone is taken care of. The main chef always pops out of the kitchen to say hello eveeytime we come in and knows our order before one of the girls even puts our order on the computer!
