Tsunami sushi was opened in May of 2021 by a group of Medical professionals that have a passion for Asian food. They brought in Chef Chuy who was trained by master sushi chefs from Japan and has been serving up some of the best Sushi in South Texas for more than 20 years. The restaurant is a mix of traditional Sashimi, Maki, Temaki, and Nigiri, as well as raw and fried sushi rolls that incorporate many local flavors such as Serrano peppers, chamoy, and hot Cheetos. Fresh Fish arrives whole on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is cut and filleted the same day. The result is fish that melts in your mouth. If you love quality sushi or prefer a roll with a local flair, this is the place for you.

Ernesto was truly the highlight of our night. I went there with my family and was immediately greeted by our waiter Ernesto. He was extremely polite and very funny. The food was just ok but the waiter is what really made it memorable for us. Will be back thanks to Ernesto’s incredible performance.

2. Lo mein noodles – ordered as an appetizer and perfectly prepared
3. Complementary soup – great meal starter
4. Mochi – delicious! But would be good without the chocolate

Absolutely a hidden gem. Their food, and service is top notch. Lunch specials are amazing as well. A must try is their chicken wings, sweet soy, and spicy Asian peach are delicious. All the goodness you want. Michelle the manager makes it all happen with a great staff.

Good afternoon, they just started serving wings. Honestly, these are some to the best wings I have ever eaten. I love me some Buffalo Wild Wings and Wing Stop, but these wings are off the chain!!! Great flavor, not over powering and the chicken is so tender and crispy. Two Thumbs Up !!!

Came here with my hubby on a Monday night. It was mostly empty, but the food and service was amazing. Cold front came in and my husband wanted a warm ramen. The broth was delicious and he loved it! I got the lo mein with chicken and it was great. The chicken was cooked perfectly not dry at all. The lo mein was a little too salty but I wasn’t bothered by it. Overall great place!

This sushi place was great. The place itself is small so it might be hard to get seated during peak hours but during the time I went, we were seated right away. The menu has a lot of variety. The fried calamari is really delicious. The rolls we ordered were a good portion size. The only feedback I have is the plates are super huge and if you and your dining party order several rolls, the table quickly fills up and it can be a bit crowded. I think they need some of those smaller rectangular shaped plates for their rolls. Other than that, the food was amazing. All the rolls I ordered had salmon and they were amazing.

This is honestly my favorite place to go. Very friendly staff. Great service and the food is fresh, interesting, and extremely tasty! The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual which makes it great for lunch, dinner with friends, or date night.
