Mama Island Food was absolutely amazing! Everything was so delicious — My husband had the pork with coleslaw, and I had the chicken, and black rice, and every bite was full of flavor. My favorite, hands down, was the fried plantains — perfectly cooked and so addicting!
The shells and cheese had a delicious twist with pork and peppers that really set it apart from anything I’ve had before. You could truly taste the love in the food.
They were catering our event and had everything we needed, which made the entire experience stress-free. On top of that, all of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Overall, amazing Haitian food and an amazing experience. Highly recommend! ️

This food truck is located in a gas station parking lot. Don’t let the looks fool you. This is the best Haitian food in West Palm beach. I have tried their griot and Lalo. Both are seasoned so well. Oh and the pikliz was s addiction. I wish they sold it by the jar. The only negative is that the portion size of meat is very small for the price.

We flew from Michigan to Florida and every time we visit we are on the search for good Haitian cuisine and this place does not disappoint. The griot and plantains and the legume was fresh and exceptionally good. My family and I are sitting in our car dancing because the food was delicious! We will definitely be back.

The way I smashed this food should be studied. I was in West Palm for a 1day trip and Googled Haitian restaurants. The reviews here were good so I went. It’s a food truck and the owner was really nice. I ordered the fried snapper and black rice. The meal was superb. Posting before and after pictures so you know how serious I am.

I had a craving for Creole Food two days ago. So, I goggled Haitian Food restaurants. And, Mama Island food came up. I wasn’t expecting a food truck! Maybe I did not look at the website good enough!
However, I decided to give it a go and I was given a sample to try. And, I must say I was hooked ! So, of course I ordered a plate to go! And, they will be seeing me again because I want to try all of the food. I had the fried turkey plate, delicious.

This is a good truck at a gas station in case it was hard to find. The food itself tasted pretty decent. The serving size for the price did not match. The plate was loaded with a ton of rice and a small amount of fried turkey. I asked for plantain with my order and received 1 piece. Usually when you get a plate of Haitian food it’s balanced well, this one was not.
