visited for Lunch big dinning area and staff very welcoming, the atmosphere is great with classic 80’s pop playing at time of our visit
good menu selection i went with the lamb Tacos and draft beer, the food arrived fresh prepared well presented. the lamb was fall apart with salsa full of freshness and flavour, the dipping gravy was perfect just enhanced the lamb flavour.

good Gluten free option easy to order with little fuss

One of the most generic restaurants I’ve ever eaten in. The service is just plain horrendous. The server taking my order was just as neutral as can be, no greeting or anything. She purposely added more items to my order to increase the overall bill. Example being I ordered chips and salsa, but she brought chips, salsa and guacamole. The guacamole is separate and a additional $6. If you don’t indicate that you don’t want handmade tortillas for your tacos they will do it automatically and you’ll be charged a dollar extra for each taco. Very dishonest business practices going on here. The server forgot to bring my glass of water three times, place was practically empty at the time. The carnitas tacos and el pastor taco had no flavor whatsoever. I could taste the tortilla, onions, cilantro and salsa. The meat was completely bland. The chips were good, the salsa and guacamole were mid. This place is decorated to match the food, generic and bland. I’m a really good tipper, but I left no tip to this shady server playing games with the bill.
Between the dishonest billing and awful food best to stay away from here.

Literally the best. I just tried every taco I could get my hands on around the bay area and this was the best. I am praying I never forget this place. Amazing. 100 Stars lol. I wish I lived here. Worth it. The salsa was sooo good. I order the vampiro. It came stacked. Delicious. I am like wow rn. Why was it empty. There should be a line around the corner for these tacos. Beautiful inside. Beautiful music. I’m sad I am leaving but I am so full off 2 tacos. If I ate 1 more right now I would just be stuffing myself. I didn’t get a drink but they have bar. I need to bring all my friends here some time soon. This place deserves its own parking lot.

Great service, very kind staff. Had a couple Tacos Estilo Tijuana with chicken. Very good, especially with the handmade corn tortillas. Highly recommend!

This place is way under the radar. Super great value, counter service but they bring you your food and bus for you. Big salsa bar in the back with flavorful salsas (you can really taste the smokiness of the peppers in the red sauce, and the green sauce is wonderfully tart). And most importantly, the tacos are SO DELICIOUS!!!!!!! Handmade tortillas. JUICY chicken. Flavorful garnish. Tasty poc chuc. Pastor with pineapple chunks.

El Rey Taquiza is one of the best places in the Mission to experience truly authentic Mexican flavors. Every dish take me back home and brings back memories of the incredible taste of Jalisco. The services is outstanding-warm,welcoming,and attentive. They always make you me feel like family, and the food is consistently fresh, delicious, and served on time. A must-visit spot for real Mexican cuisine ❤️

Friendly welcome and lovely staff. We also enjoyed everything we ordered with the Quesabirra Vampire tacos and the Ceviche standing out. I always wanted to try the Mexican doner kebab (sorry I don’t know the proper name) and it didn’t disappoint. Will definitely return next time I’m in SF.

We needed a place to meet up before watching a movie and had a craving for a taco. Sadly, they wet out of the mushroom tacos for our vegetarian companion. On a positive note, the mango margaritas tasted like mango juice and I ordered two. It was only 65F outside but it was warm by the windows. Could be a bit hot on a sunny day. The bathrooms were pleasantly modern and clean. We order extra tacos because it was delicious.

Chicken taco tijuana style and saudero taco tijuana style are excellent, juicy chicken, crisped pieces of saudero, every piece edible and good flavour with the guac, I usually go traditional but in this case it works

I found my al pastor chunks to be very chewy, i could not have more than a bite because my first bite was impossible to finish.
