I grew up next door to a kid who is first gen American, his parents directly hale from Mexico. We became fast friends over some shared interests and I was occasionally invited over for dinner, and it was there that I learned first hand how amazing freshly home cooked real Mexican food is; and it is here, at this El Ray Del Taco, I have found that flavor replicated. IMO, this is the most authentic home made Mexican meal you can get in the Springs, and it is worth every penny spent on it. Staff is always friendly too, Highly recommend it.

Food is good… The decor is dated and the service is a little slow. The salsa bar can be great, but there are no labels on the different types of flavors. The menus seem to be about 20 years old too. This place has ssssssooooooo much potential.

The food was okay but it really wasn’t competitive with the other taco places around. They do have a very well stocked salsa bar that is delicious however the cups were not rinsed properly after washing and tasted like soap and I tried to communicate to the server who was very nice but she didn’t seem to understand me. As far as the tacos go I got crispy tacos and the meat which was shredded beef that was put on there was not drained from the juices and the whole Taco fell apart from sogginess. It wasn’t a horrible experience and it wasn’t a great experience. Probably won’t be back but I’m sure they have some good food somewhere in there.

This was an unplanned visit but we are glad we found it. The food was great and the waitress we had was very nice. They had a self serve salsa bar so you could try many different ones. We got the chicken chimichanga grande and the plato de Tosada.

We have to come here at least once a month or sometimes possibly by weekly, that’s how much we love their food. Thank you Olivia for always making us feel special and welcomed. My husband’s favorite is Tacos Carnitas and as for me, it depends, I pretty much tried the entire menu, so far I haven’t had a bad dish in 2 years. Their salsa bar is the best in the country, hands down the best Mexican food in Colorado!
