We sat at the bar when we arrived at 8:00 and found the restaurant to be busy enough to be busy but they still could accommodate us with a table.
We ordered the carpaccio which I thought was lovely, I personally thought the sauce may have been a bit too much as I loved the delicate flavor of the meat. We also order the focaccia bread…omg it was out of this world delicious, tender and the crust on the outside…yum.
We shared a kale salad that they split for us (so kind) and lasagne that was a personal size and the perfect combo for us. Honestly the wine, the staff, the food everything about this place was out of this world and I highly recommend visiting.
Date/time of visit: Friday night, 8:30 PM
Parking: in the adjacent lot, free. Shared with the mall and other businesses
Party size: 12,, 3 teens
Environment/ambience: open air restaurant, pretty nice. Small bar area. Clean restroom. Right next to Cheesecake Factory. Pretty loud inside but still able to talk.
Service: great; came around often and friendly. We made reservations but seems like they take walk-ins
Food: we had a set menu; not sure if you can build your own or this is what they offer:
– 2 Caesar salad
– 1 arugula and avocado salad
– 2 margherita pizza, with bomba sauce
– 1 the pig pizza
– 2 vodka rigatoni pasta
– 2 bolognese pasta
– 2 chicken Parmesan
– 2 grilled branzino
We added 2 steaks too, only NY is offered. All the food was great. The bomba sauce is great with the pizza crust; must try. Didn’t try the salads but looked fresh.
Cost: ~$900, including tip
Would I go back (yes/no): 95/5
We’ve been here 3 times and every time, Taylor (bartender) has been great – even when its busy! Between food recommendations, wine pairing (all have been spot on by the way) to whitty- not fake banter, Taylor, by far, makes the experience fun. (Jade also makes a killer decaf espresso martini).
My husband ordered the Chicken Parmesan, and it was a solid 10/10 — perfectly crispy, flavorful, and one of the best we’ve had. I went with the House Special Bolognese, which I’d rate an 8/10. It was really good, lighter than expected, and felt like a healthier choice without sacrificing flavor.
For dessert, we shared the seasonal Pumpkin Butter Cake, and let me just say you HAVE to get this! It’s a 10/10 for sure, one of the best desserts we’ve ever had. My husband and I were literally fighting for the last bite!
For drinks, I had the Pinot Noir (just okay, probably wouldn’t order it again), and my husband got the Roman Holiday cocktail, which was very good. Almost forgot we had an expresso martini! omg get that too it was great!
Overall, North Italia made for an amazing date night! great food, warm atmosphere, and that butter cake alone is worth the trip! Highly recommend.
North Italia, sitting right next door to Cheesecake Factory, is the quieter, sharper, more refined sibling. Less chaos, more control. Less noise, more confidence. This is where I go when I want real dinner, real conversation, real wine — not when I’m counting calories or checking prices. If you’re scared of dollar signs, turn around politely.
The food? Très sérieux. Handmade pasta that actually tastes handmade, sauces that don’t scream for attention but quietly dominate, ingredients that feel intentional, not rushed. Every plate comes out like it knows exactly why it exists. Elegant, balanced, indulgent without being sloppy. This is not “Instagram food” — this is grown-up pleasure.
Yes, it’s expensive. Yes, the bill will look at you funny. And yes — it’s absolutely worth it. Quality costs money, darling. If you want cheap thrills, there are plenty of places for that. North Italia is about taste, restraint, and confidence.
The atmosphere is where this place really wins me over. Calm, refined, polished. You can actually hear yourself think. Perfect lighting, beautiful interiors, the kind of place where you lean back in your chair, sip wine slowly, and let people notice you without trying. Fancy enough for my standards, relaxed enough that I don’t feel like I’m performing.
Service is sharp and professional — attentive, respectful, not clingy. They treat you like someone who belongs there, not like a customer they’re trying to impress. I appreciate that. I don’t need extra smiles — just competence.
This is where I imagine sitting across from my handsome, slightly dangerous businessman (you know who you are), sharing plates, exchanging looks, laughing quietly, and pretending the rest of the restaurant doesn’t exist. A little romance, a little arrogance, a lot of confidence.
Bottom line:
North Italia is refined, expensive, delicious, and unapologetic.
If Cheesecake Factory is the fun crowd-pleaser, this is the executive dinner.
Céline approves.
And when Céline approves… that’s final. ✨
After a long wait, a manager came by once and said, “I’ll check on your food,” but there was no follow-up and no sense of urgency.
When the mistake was finally addressed, the compensation was $18 off a $180 bill, which felt dismissive given the time wasted and the service failure.
I understand mistakes happen in restaurants, but recovery and accountability matter. This location failed on both. I hope corporate leadership reviews this, as the service standards here do not match the brand’s reputation or price point.
The hospitality was amazing from start to finish. From the hosts to the servers and managers, everyone went above and beyond to accommodate us. Shayne was our waitress and she was amazing, attentive, kind, and truly made our experience even better. Evan, the manager, was also incredible and made sure everything was perfect.
The food was great overall. The kids especially enjoyed the donuts, though they had one small note: powdered sugar instead of cane sugar would’ve made them perfect.
Other than that, we enjoyed everything. Definitely a must-try!!!
