Game Shack Cafe is a gaming cafe and retro game store upstairs located in Historic Downtown Dunlap. We have board games, card games, chess, and several consoles available to play. You can also venture upstairs and shop from Atari, Nintendo, Sega, Xbox, and PlayStation games and consoles. Bring your Magic the Gathering cards and hang out in the Card Cave with your friends. We have a variety of handcrafted coffee, tea, smoothies, cider, Italian sodas and Lotus Energy drinks. We have amazing biscuits made daily from a recipe I got from my Mamaw and Dad. We serve a breakfast, lunch and treats. Made from scratch by us!

This is a gem in Dunlap, a beloved treasure! The atmosphere is so cool, especially around the holidays when everything is decorated in detail. My favorite is Halloween! It’s a great place to read a book, play a game with friends or stock up on video games or playing cards and other gamer supplies, even instruments. The staff are friendly. The drink options are amazing, so many creative names and flavor profiles, definitely something for everyone. And the pastries…they are made fresh in house and so delicious, flakey and moist. I haven’t tried the other food selections yet. The only room for improvement would be to offer plain black coffee at an affordable price for the people who like to keep it simple on a budget.

This is a fun and inviting coffee shop with a cool gamer theme that gives it a unique vibe. The space was clean, and the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. I especially loved the Harry Potter-themed specials they had this month such a creative touch! My wife really enjoyed the coffee, and we both agreed it’s a great little spot to relax and hang out. Whether you’re into gaming or just looking for a cozy café with good drinks and a fun atmosphere, this place is worth checking out. We’ll definitely be back!

I then had another poor encounter with management. Pretty bummed out. I was only trying to politely and discreetly express a bad experience. I didn’t want anyone to get in trouble. Literally the best coffee shop ever. Such a cute nerdy atmosphere with a huge selection of creative and comforting drinks. Food is great too! Staff is sweet, the place is always clean, and the decor is lovely. Music selection is also If I could rate it 1000/10 I would. Love coming here with my mom

A cozy little café with a fun gamer theme! The space is clean, the staff are welcoming, and the atmosphere is quirky yet inviting—great for relaxing or hanging out. The coffee was decent, though not the best I’ve had, and the Danish pastry was a real letdown, soggy and stale-tasting. Still, the overall vibe makes it worth visiting, and I’d come back to give it another shot and possibly update my review.

Great people and even better drinks! We tried a few energy Lotus drinks. They were delicious. My favorite is the Brave with PopRocks added. There is also mini game systems set up for you to play games with a friend while you drink. Give them a try, it’s worth it!
