Very nice, upscale restaurant tucked away in Carmichael. What impressed me the most is their massive wine selection. You can tell whomever handles that part of the business has some good taste! Otherwise, the dining experience is amazing too. Great food, really nice service, and well crafted ambience.

1st off this spot is grown and sexy. I ordered the Stu. It was worth every penny. I also had a fabulous glass of sweet wine that was so good I had to get a bottle to take home. Mateo came out and introduced himself to me. I will definitely be back. 10/10

Delicious! I loved the Alfredo Pasta with chicken. The sauce was very rich and creamy, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the chicken was still juicy and not dry. Service was smooth and friendly. I’d come back for sure!

This meal was fantastic. The cheesey bread was so delicious. I could have just eaten that for dinner but I’m glad I didn’t. The chicken Parmesan was also amazing! This isn’t a budget friendly place to eat but of you’re gonna splurge this place has a very unique and tasty style to it. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The outside patio is beautiful too.

I came here late afternoon on a Saturday and it wasn’t busy. I sat at the bar, and the service was great. The bartender was very helpful and attentive.
Everything tasted so fresh! Started off with a dessert wine, Kiona Chenin Blanc Ice Wine. It was perfectly sweet. Ordered some garlic bread and then the Penne Bolognese. The bread was really good and buttery. The bolognese was decent, but I wish there was more seasoning and cheese. Lastly, I got the Apple Berry Crisp. It was good, but not as sweet/sugary as I would’ve liked. But it was perfectly crisp, and the ice cream was amazing.

If you are in the Sacramento area and have a craving for a basic no flare pasta dish that is packed full of flavor you have got to try the Penne Bolognese made with Spicy Pork, Beef Ragu, Mushrooms & Asiago Cheese. This was hands down the best Bolognese I have ever experienced.
The wife ordered the Chicken Parmesan which was also delicious and I love that they paired it with a creamy marinara instead of the traditional basic red sauce.
If pasta is not your thing the burger that my son ordered was also delicious and well executed.
Oh and don’t skip the cheesy bread which was a Sourdough Round stuffed with Roasted Garlic Puree and 4 Cheeses with Virgin Olive Oil, Fig Balsamic & Crushed Chili’s on Side (to die for)
It’s not often any more that you find a restaurant that their services is just as quality as their food. Matteo’s is top notch and even though this was my first time here I was greeted and treated like an important regular. From beginning to end the experience and food is something I find myself now craving.

2nd Time. Sat on the Beautiful Patio adorned with a water feature and lots of greenery. They were very busy…. Friday night.
Ordered Scallops with Gnocchi which was delicious. However, a few bites were a bit gritty….sand!

I had my first experience at Matteo’s for a work meeting. Despite the restaurant being busy, it didn’t feel crowded, and the staff still took the time out to be warm, friendly, and inviting. The food was delicious. I couldn’t wait to eat my dinner, but at least I remembered to take photos of the beautiful desserts before gobbling them up. I like that they have indoor and outdoor seating. The environment was charming and comfortable. I would definitely dine at Matteo’s again.

Ive been eating at Matteo’s for years. Ordered pennes pasta bolognese takeout. $30.00 with tax before tip and the portion is skimpy. It’s pasta and inexpensive to make. Your and Italian restaurant. Please do better or you’ll lose customers that want to have an adult portion for an entree.
