The potstickers were great! The edamame was overcooked and had lots of salt- I liked the salt but not the mushiness of the outlet layer of the pods. The chicken Basil spicy rice was out of this world delicious- super flavorful and spicy in the way that makes your mouth water. The chicken tasted like chicken not rubbery and it had great flavor- like it was cooked with the rice not just added on as an afterthought. I would order this dish again and again! The yellow curry with shrimp was delicious, however the eggplant was spoiled and not at all appetizing. The Mai Tai was sweet and refreshing. I’d order that again as well. The service was alright. The atmosphere overall inviting, lots of light and some eye catching decor.

Came to RI for a fishing trip with a group of friends that have eclectic tastes in food and wanted to try something different. The pictures from other customer reviews looked good. So we tried it and it was a plus they stayed open a little later than other places.
We ordered the pad Tai with chicken, Crab fried rice, veggie Rangoon, spring rolls and a seafood soup. EVERYTHING was really good, flavorful, fresh and light. We all left very satisfied but not stuffed, as the portions were nice sizes too!
The service was good and the waitress was knowledgeable and welcoming.
The atmosphere was calm and relaxed.
Will absolutely return the next time we’re in town!

I was not a fan of Asian cuisine until a friend of mine took me to a Thai restaurant in NY. Ever since then, I always try to find the best Thai place. I found one in NY call Thai villa. Food was delicious my friend and I still talk about it till this day. It was over a year ago.
Now while visiting my boyfriend in Rhode Island we stumbled upon this one and the food was delicious ! Omg! I had the PIK-KING chicken & shrimp, he had Pad Thai, we also had the basil fried rice with beef. All were freshly delicious!
The dessert was the Cherie on top! I had to unbutton my pants. I cannot wait for my next visit.

Came in for lunch everything was great. Food is fresh and delicious. Service was fantastic. They just need to turn the thermostat up to a bit, tempature was in the 50’s inside the dining room in January.

Good to experience that the new owners have kept the great quality and service from the previous establishment. My Holy basil dish was outstanding as well as Red and Massaman curry’s, as well as crispy tofu, tofu pad thai, pineapple friend rice and Tom Yum soup. one of the best thai food I’ve ever had!! ive been to Tong-D’s sister restaurant Heng a lot of times and South County definitely needs Tong-D here. Absolutely loved their tom yum chicken soup, that is definitely a must try! the pad-c-u with the crispy chicken was very well flavored. we also got the hot basil fried rice and I added pineapples to it, the basil was fresh and not overwhelming at all. everything was cooked to perfection. we got everything level 5 spiced and it was great!!

Pad Tai with chicken. Not what I expected, absolutely delicious. I am on a business trip, the quality of their food makes me wish I came here more often, had them closer to home, making it real hard to return to the places near home. Tong Ta has raised the bar on what good food is.

Food was very good, wife had drunken noodles and they were quite spicy as she likes. I had Thai fried rice with chicken that was very good. Service was good, food was a little slow but overall a good experience.

Horrendous third experience, will never go back. Friends wanted to try so we went. Place was not busy. Service was horrible – could not remember to bring sides like chili sauce etc. first couples was about done eating their entree and the second couples entree had not shown up, chicken pad thai. That order was canceled, and the manager did nothing. Good thing there are better Thai options in our area.
