I don’t think I can give them enough praise. Parker was one of the best bartenders I have had the pleasure of being served by in the Buffalo area. Very friendly, very attentive, and extremely helpful with ordering and recommendations. The pizza is right there with the best pizza in my opinion I have had in the Buffalo area. The key lime cheesecake, I won’t even try. Just go get some, you can thank me when you are done eating it. Those that know me and have read my reviews, know there is one place in this area that I absolutely love. This place is going to make it hard for me to decide where to go eat when I am in town. This was my second visit, my first was a salad that I was absolutely impressed with. I haven’t tried the burgers yet, but I guarantee you I will!!

First time at D’Avolio Transit Rd. but won’t be the last. Ample parking and great atmosphere. The food was outstanding with the perfect portion size – I could taste the quality. I had the create your own burger option. The burger itself was delicious & cooked perfectly (not dry) & the soup was perfect for a cold winter night. The staff was friendly & efficient. Definitely recommend eating there.

Nice make your own: sandwich, salad, pizza as well as premade items. Nice selection of toppings. Service was excellent. It’s a little loud when many tables are filled as there are lots of hard surfaces. Pricing is comparable with other restaurants $22/person + tip

Nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere but food is inconsistent and just so-so. We’ve been a few times since our first time in the spring. Sandwiches were very good the first few times, but took my son and the roast beef was dry and cold, as well as the fries. The pizza had way too much sauce and the pizza was sub par for Buffalo pizza. Won’t be back.

We were there for lunch. Its hard to navigate through narrow isles. Dark. But pleasant.
My Ceasars Salad with grilled shrimp was very good. The howevers…. why do restaurants insist on making me pull tails off my shrimp. I Ordered a salad. Not crab legs. The lettuce was wet when dressed, so the dressing was not sticking to the greens as traditional Ceasars salad usual is prepared. The bland dressing, I believe was part of that wet greens issue. The server was running around that we were missing the calm atmosphere we had hoped to enjoy. I would like to return. I liked the vibe.

Haven’t been to D’Avolio in a very long time. The menu has expanded significantly and WOW, so much to choose from. Gluten-free options for breads and pizza crust. I had a citrus salmon salad that I built myself. So good. I ordered a basket of baked fries. Ate 2 and then sadly realized they were battered. ‍♀️ I failed to ask before I ordered. Unfortunately they are not Gluten-free. But aside from that mishap, everything was delicious. My daughter made her own meat-lovers pizza that she loved. We will definitely be going back!

The food was good, but not something I feel like I’ll be running to get back to anytime soon. Our waitress was absolutely lovely, and the atmosphere is clean and enjoyable. Worth checking out if you’re looking for somewhere new to try!

After years of working in the general area, I always heard such great things about D’Avolio. So much so that I came in recently to get a Christmas gift basket and made the decision to stop back in to eat as well. We went on a weeknight – didn’t expect how busy it was but that’s fine! We were in absolutely no hurry and didn’t mind that there was a wait once we were seated.

However this was a less than stellar experience all around. After the approx 15 min wait after sitting, we were able to order drinks. Those came quick and were delicious! We were then asked if we were set with the menus, to which we replied yes and were then told we had to circle things with marker. Whoops! We were never told, so we didn’t realize to do so. No big deal.

It took about 10 more minutes for help to circle back once we circled our menu. Again, really not a big deal – just wish we had known.

The food is where it all went south.

The beans and greens I ordered came out first and was like watery, peppery broth with a scant amount of “green” and popped beans. Definitely the lowest tier of beans and greens I’ve tried, but still tolerable.

My main entree? An absolute abomination. I ordered a sandwich on *foccocia* with chicken cutlet, roasted red pepper spread, artichoke, and FRESH mozzarella. My partner got a steak sandwich.

We waited with anticipation, sipping our drinks which were great…

And let me tell you I am still in shock of what I was served.

The food came and I instantly saw the overly salted, cold sad sub roll that was passed as… foccocia?! That was the first strike. From there, every single element was bad. My fresh mozzarella was just a sliced piece of deli mozzarella, not even bothered to be melted. The chicken cutlet was cut up into strips, likely to deter me from how dry and freezing it was. I bit into the sandwich and really didn’t think it could get worse.

It wasn’t just cold, it was frozen. As if the bread has just been defrosted, and my artichoke practically had frost on it. So cold I couldn’t even taste flavor. I’m not sure what or if all of it was frozen, but something definitely was to make it this cold. It’s as if they slapped everything on the sandwich and meant for it to go into a warmer or over or something, and just simply forgot. Freezing and so unenjoyable! Then to make matters WORSE, my red pepper “spread” was just a marinara sauce poured all over the sub. It was like eating freezing cold chicken parm sub with unmelted cheese. Just absolutely horrible.

My partners sandwich was at least toasty warm and enjoyable. I really don’t know what the mix up was, but someone in that kitchen dropped the ball big time.

Unfortunately our server was busy and never stopped back, and I am just not one to march up to the kitchen myself to send my food back. So I reluctantly ate and we waited, and waited for the check. I popped into the bathroom when it came off course, so I wasn’t able to give any feedback. My partner paid and we left very unsatisfied.

I unfortunately will not be back and will not be recommending anymore. Truthfully this was so bad I wish I could return my $100 gift basket, but alas I know the oil and vinegar are at least the big selling points here.

Large portions, with quick service. We were both happy with our dinners and we will likely return.

Although I live 5 minutes away… I’ve never gone for dinner. I have only stopped in to purchase olive oil/vinegar. Went last night. Parker, the bartender was excellent. I’m all about the bar and the ambience was excellent…. We actually ate at the bar… Perfect lighting…. Perfect espresso martini, perfect build your burger. I love that you can mark on the menu what you want. I marked well done, basil pesto and arugula….. best burger ever and the fries were also great. My friend had a Greek salad which she raved about. I will be stopping on my way home from work every night just for the espresso martini. Great work…. Loved everything.
