Honey walnut shrimp: This dish was my fav. The shrimp were so crunchy and perfectly cooked and the sweetness didn’t overpower the delicate flavor of the shrimp. The walnuts added a satisfying crunch and nutty flavor.
Juicy pork dumplings (XLB): The skin was thin and delicate, holding in a generous amount of savory, hot broth. The pork filling was flavorful and tender. They came out piping hot, so be sure to let them cool slightly before enjoying!
Sesame green onion pancake: It was perfectly crispy and flaky on the outside with a soft, chewy interior. The combination of green onion and toasted sesame seeds gave it a wonderful, aromatic flavor that was both simple and delicious.
Garlic chicken wings: The chicken wings were fried to a perfect golden crisp, with a satisfyingly crunchy skin. The garlic flavor was prominent and savory, without being too strong.
Shanghai-style pork ribs: The meat was incredibly tender. The sweet and tangy glaze had a deep, rich flavor that coated the ribs beautifully.
Sauteed String Beans: My favorite chinese veggies! They were lightly seasoned with a savory, garlicky sauce that brought out their natural sweetness without making them greasy.
On top of the great food, the restaurant has private rooms with KTV, which makes it perfect for group dinners, parties, or family gatherings. The vibe was lively, the service was friendly, and the dishes came out fast. Overall, it was such a fun and delicious dining experience—I’ll definitely be coming back
The private rooms look amazing for a dinner party with karaoke & they have a nice wine selection now so it can also be upscale.
With all the karaoke dinner parties happening, I thought the service was really attentive.
We ended up ordering the lamb soup, thick green onion pancakes, duck, sauteed green beans, and pork dry tofu. They were served in around 10 minutes, not too long. The duck didn’t really match my tastes but my parents enjoyed it. As for the green beans and dry tofu, both were too salty and I had to eat it with rice to stomach it. I guess people with heavier taste buds would not have a problem with those. As for the pancake, it was alright but it was seasoned a bit too heavily with black pepper. The soup was probably the best of all of them (close second would be the pancake) but was a bit too oily.
The dishes overall well pretty average and somewhat lacking compared to its prices. There are much better tasting Chinese restaurants in this area at around the same price. The portions are also average. For some reason, they like to use very large plates that take up a lot of space on their small tables even though portion isn’t that much. I wouldn’t come back again. Probably would recommend for those who just want to give this place a try once.
Still plenty of parking in the back.
Inside, the layout isn’t open anymore and has a private room. The hostess led me to this room without me asking and I was shocked/pleasantly surprised! My party had only 4 people and yet we were given the nice room (I think cause when we arrived, there weren’t many customers there).
The service was great in providing water refills and when we needed to order more food.
Their beef rolls are impressive!! They are crispy and super tasty!
The soup dumplings are very good and flavorful and the stir fried noodles are delicious too! We ordered the house beef noodle soup but forgot to ask for it without spice, it is pretty spicy!
I also loved the decoration inside the private room. Very beautiful!
They also have really cool dragon chopstick holders.
Food/Pricing – Peanut w/ Seaweed – $6.99 – Flavorful and nicely seasoned.
Xiao Long Bao (Juicy Pork Dumplings) – $10.99 – 8pcs – Wish it came with the usual 10 pcs. Nevertheless, it was very juicy and yummy!
Pan Fried Pork Dumplings – $12.99 – I need this to be more crispy! Other than that the taste was good.
Stir Fried Sliced Noodle – $15.99 – Fresh and tasty!
Spicy Beef Noodle Soup – $13.99 – We did standard round noodles. Absolutely loved the flavor of the entire dish! The soup was perfectly seasoned and spicy enough to be tasty. The beef was tender. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
Service/Ambiance – The staff were not very attentive. It took some time to get there attention and we were the only party there at the time. They were busy with sorting takeout orders but gotta pay attention to customers who are physically there too.
The air conditioning system wasn’t cold enough so it felt pretty warm in there while we were eating. I also got bit by a mosquito that was flying around and there was also a fly bugging us the whole time.
Parking – There’s a parking lot at the back of the restaurant! Street parking is also an option.
The owner is very friendly, shares with us his passion to find the best quality product to serve customers. This place recently just open the Yakiniku outdoor seating, so if your in the area, definitely stop by with a few friends to enjoy as the portion is very generous.
