When you walk in you’re immediately aware of their political views. Super uncomfortable with all of the “back the blue” stickers and posters everywhere. (That’s disrespectful to the flag btw)
Their meat was SO dry and flavorless i barely took two bites before tossing it. Mac and cheese and green beans were edible but very clearly not home made or fresh. The toilets were revolting and spelled like pee. Waste of money and time. Very disappointing.

Heads up you get very small portions. The meat tastes good but to expensive for the portions given. Has 3 different BBQ sauces original, sweet, and spicy. Free ice cream cones that were good. Would probably not be back.

Great BBQ! hands down one of my favorite bbq restaurants in the state of Nebraska! Staff is very friendly, service is great and the inside of the restaurant is pretty neat with everything on the walls. I’ve had these guy cater an event for me as well and they did a fanatic job. Everyone thought the food was great! Their ice cream is pretty good too. I will continue to eat here. I highly recommend if you enjoy BBQ.

This was our first visit to a new restaurant and we’re excited about it. We walked inside with no one in the building other than the employees we waited 15 minutes before we were even addressed to have our order placed as there was ““ a big order to pack, which was only one bag other customers walked in behind us and one of the employees side and grouned out loud as in distressed that there were customers in the building, there were five employees, and only one of them was working. surprisingly, there was no one in working that was over the age of 21 and felt like kids were running the store and no one was able to hold them accountable. Everybody else was too concerned with their headsets for their music or their phones. This was not a good way to have returned customers as I am also a retired police officer, and I noticed the thin blue line we even had time to go next-door after placing and paying for our order and spend 10 minutes to get cookies and we came back in. Our food. Still wasn’t done only to take it home to be disappointed as the food was cold and we thought the portions were super small as we both ordered two meats and two sides, and it seemed pretty low and the amount that we were given, especially when a pound of meat is $17 Pretty. After we had eaten and tried each other‘s meals at home. We were highly disappointed and would not recommend if you’re looking for a good barbecue and having to pay the price. This is definitely not the place to go.

First time ever being here and with all the “best of kearney” stickers on the door we expected a lot more. The menu is on the more difficult end to read if you havent been here before. The attitudes of the two female employees were very indifferent and a “dont want to be here” type attitude. When i went up to let them know their rootbeer was out the one cashier was behind the line on her phone. When we got our meat it was on the smaller snd colder end of things. My daughter’s nuggets weren’t the best shes ever had. The paper towels in the dispenser are put in crooked so it wont dispense. We came in shortly after open so i can understand a little lax to some extent but this was overall not a welcoming experience. Mac and cheese and rolls were probably the only decent things we had.

Went in today to get a Kearneyvore sandwich the #4 and two sides of okra. The guy was a red head guy was a bit off gave me the two sides of okra in one bag I was going to share the sandwich and have the two sides separately in a bag and when I got home never have I seen a sandwich made so sloppy and like he just threw it on there to get us out of there fast

The ribs are excellent. I wish I would have known beforehand that they shopped the brisket up. I do not like chopped brisket. I think you should get a choice. And it was on the dry side should have gotten some sauce for it. My biggest complaint is the $10 for a pint of coleslaw even tho it was good I don’t think it’s that good.

The food wasn’t the best. It was recommended to us and was ok. That was it. There was no kick in the BBQ. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was a little cold. The atmosphere is very nice and feels homey. The employees were good and patient as well. It’s is good food just don’t get pulled pork sandwich.

It would have been very helpful if they told us there were sauces!! We didn’t see them till on the way out!! Also my wife’s salad had some pretty wilted lettuce. The Pork was dry and lacking seasoning (without sauce). The ribs were actually pretty good.

First of all service and atmosphere are great. They have a couple different barbecue sauces in self-serve warmers, free soft serve ice cream and the place is clean.
Unfortunately only some of the food is not worth spending money on. I’ve tried the brisket twice and the first time I ordered it they gave it to me in decent sized chunks. There was absolutely no juices on this meat and frankly that was kind of alarming because I don’t spend my money on dry meat. Luckily it was only dry in some areas and the flavor was good. The second time I ordered it they gave me what looked like little wood chips, again with absolutely no juices. It appeared to be what would be left overs on the bottom of a pan. Are they trying to disgrace their reputation or is this what they’re known for? I didn’t take a picture of this crap until after I smothered it in barbecue sauce.
The chicken breast was delightfully tender. The ribs were decent, nothing worth coming back for.
Their turkey is lunch meat quality: scraps that are compressed in the shape of a ball that you would find at a deli. They slice this and put it on your plate.
For some reason they don’t serve cornbread.
The baked beans and macaroni and cheese are good.
Overall this is fast food quality. That isn’t a bad thing especially when most of the items are actually decent. Stay away from the brisket and you’ll probably enjoy your purchase.
