The service from the owner was phenomenal. Was only pick up , but she gave us a free roll and was super friendly.
All 5 rolls were delicious. The two fried ones we got stood out but you really can’t go wrong with anything you get. We’ll be back for more.
The food is so delicious.
We have shrimp fried rice,
Chow fun (Flat rice noodles) with chicken,
Habachi chicken bento box,
Chicken wings with fries,
their honey sauce is a must try.
We are first time there and they treated like us regular, and as a family.
The chef and crew worked so hard.
The lady serving is is so beautiful and so kind and so lovely.
Thank you all for making our food as home food when we are away from home visiting the area!!!
1) Food: The menu is very large with many options- appetizers, fried rice dishes, entrees, sushi, hibachi, and more. My friend ordered the miso soup, which comes in a larger-than-normal bowl, and the sushi. I got the chicken, beef, and shrimp fried rice per the owner’s recommendation. As a surprise, they gave us spring rolls and a piece of matcha cake for my friend’s birthday.
The fried rice was sizeable and very good. The meat was perfectly cooked. The spring rolls and miso soup were excellent. The sushi, according to my friend, was good, but not noteworthy.
2) Drinks: They have an entire fridge full of soda, juices, beer, and even wine.
3) Service: It’s excellent- attentive and quick. One of the owners took the time to talk to us and told a bit of her story. The owners also have restaurants on Capitol Hill and Adams Morgan.
4) Space: It’s small and many use them for takeout, but they have three tables that sit four inside. It’s tight, but it works. There’s also a small outdoor patio along the sidewalk.
5) Area: It’s along New York Avenue NW with lots of traffic, but it works. It’s on a block with other local businesses. It’s easy to walk to and there’s street parking nearby that’s more easy to find.
My family and I had an incredible time here! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Annie and Grace took great care of us—they were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, always making sure we had everything we needed. We ordered the Red Snapper Hibachi, Fried Rice, Chicken Wings with Fries, and Thai Iced Teas. Everything was full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. The kids especially loved the wings and fries, and they’re already asking to come back every week! The atmosphere was just right: relaxed, welcoming, and family-friendly. We had such a great dining experience and will definitely be returning soon. Highly recommend!
Food: Tasty and cheap — DC can be hit or miss with Asian food but this place was solid. I ordered the combination fried rice and was pleasantly satisfied (big portion for $13.95)
The boba is also relatively affordable at $5.95 and was sweet and flavorful.
Atmosphere: nice big TV playing news + clean indoor seating. The owner pushed together two tables to accommodate my party of 8 and she even let us split the bill individually — even though she could have charged the extra 6+ ppl gratuity most restaurants tack on.
Was very impressed and will be returning to support
I ordered the tuna & avocado sushi and the eel & avocado sushi! The sushi was great, the rice wasn’t dry and was fluffy, but not at all overcooked/mushy. At grocery stores that sell sushi, the rice can be dry, but at this restaurant it was great. Would order again if I’m craving sushi. My order was about $18 total before tip.
I believe if you order something, you can get a dumpling or miso soup included for FREE! I chose to get the dumpling included in my meal and the two dumplings were deep fried, hot, & flavorful.
The loaded sushi roll (salmon, cream cheese, & something else – not sure what it was) was yummy. It was freshly made and the sauces added paired well with to the dish. Loved the soft and crunchy texture of the roll.
The owner is really nice & offered great fast service. There is one restroom inside the restaurant. Outdoor seating is available.
If you’re craving Asian food coming from California, I would definitely recommend this no frills casual spot that offers a fair price with great portion size in DC. Lots of variety with an array of dishes and there are options for vegetarians.
