Thai is one of those cuisines that, in my opinion, truly shines when it’s prepared by people from Thailand—and this restaurant absolutely lives up to that standard. I personally always look for Tom Yum soup, preferably with shrimp or seafood. For me, that’s the ultimate test, and it’s my favorite dish. My family, on the other hand, leans more toward tofu and chicken options.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by two lovely ladies who welcomed us with genuine warmth—especially appreciated on a cold day like this. The atmosphere is simple, but there are tasteful Thai touches throughout the restaurant. The lighting and lamps are beautiful, and there are cultural details and murals that give the space character without feeling overdone.
As we explored the menu, I already knew what I was ordering, but we still started with chicken spring rolls. I also ordered hot jasmine tea while we waited, which was a great touch on such a chilly day. I did take a quick look at the restrooms—simple, clean, and pleasant-smelling, nothing negative to report there. One small suggestion: the hallway to the bathrooms is separated by a curtain. While it does the job, a lightweight divider or flexible wall might create a better separation between spaces and offer a bit more privacy. That said, it’s a minor detail.
Now, back to what really matters—the food. On a cold day like this, a hot bowl of Tom Yum soup is exactly what you need, and it absolutely delivered. I ordered the large shrimp Tom Yum, and it was delicious. I chose medium heat and adjusted it slightly using the condiments on the table, which allowed me to dial in the spice level perfectly. I’m glad I didn’t go for extra spicy—it might have been a bit too much—but this was just right.
We truly enjoyed the meal, the warm smiles, and the attentive service. The ladies checked on us often and kept our drinks refilled, which made the experience even better. Places like this deserve appreciation, and we’re very thankful for such a comforting and enjoyable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back.
The coconut juice paired incredibly well with the salmon! I have a really high spice tolerance (according to my Thai friend, a high Thai spice tolerance), and as such the salmon just tasted sweet to me. Next time I will order Thai hot spice level. That aside, the flavors were incredible! I loved the sweet meeting the savory meeting the salty and the hints of basil, surrounded by lots of vegetables (and I love love love vegetables; the more veggies the better). Last but not least, for the sticky rice with mango, it came out warm, sticky rice freshly made, with a full mango and a bed of slightly sweet coconut sauce. The photo is of it. I giggled when I took my first bite. It was incredible!!!! I was full but sat there until I finished the whole thing.
This is also budget friendly! Thai food can be expensive, but this is budget friendly whilst being very high quality!! So glad I came, and I shall be back soon!
TLDR: Amazingly good food, very nice people, decent prices.
I arrived shortly after noon and was easily seated. Not a whole lot of customers at that time, so I’m not sure if it as an off day or what.
Server brought a menu and a huge carafe of ice water, which was greatly appreciated, along with a cup of soup. I don’t know what the soup was, and when I asked I was just told ‘vegetable soup’, but I’d eat a gallon of the stuff. It was like a cross between an egg drop soup and a miso soup, with tender pieces of what I would guess to be sliced bok choy. Whatever it is, I loved it and it was a great little lead in to the meal.
Although I didn’t know at the time, I was given the lunch menu, not the full menu. That explains what I thought was a really small selection of dishes. That said, I found something I wanted to try, and ordered up a couple of fried spring rolls and Pad See Ew, which is rice noodles, vegetables and broccoli and chicken, in this case. it is one of those Thai dishes that is sometimes a measurement against other places. For me, this and Pad Thai are the two benchmarks I usually lean on.
The spring rolls hit the table in no time flat and I had to let them cool for a couple minutes. In literally just a few minutes more, the main dish arrived along with an assortment of sauces/relishes.
The spring rolls were just fantastic. Not greasy, lightly crispy with a great balance inside between the meat and veg. The elements of the filling retained their texture and overall it was a great mouth feel, biting through the delicately crunchy outside and then getting the different crispy filling parts. Just a great spring roll all the way around.
The Pad See Ew was easliy one of , if not the best I’ve had. The chicken was tender and not dry, the vegatables perfectly cooked to tender while still maintaining a little crunch. The noodles were well done, with traces of a char from the pan, bringing the smoky flavor dish needs. A rich sauce brought it all together. I added various condiments until I got it dialed in and it was indeed delicious. Only a sense of decorum prevented me from just licking the plate clean.
I really appreciated the ice water on the table, and I found my self wondering why more places don’t do that. I didn’t mind keeping my glass full, especially with the heat I brought on, and just simplified the dining experience, in my book.
The people were very friendly, with both ladies out front checking on me from time to time without being at all intrusive.
The dining room is moderately sized and tastefully decorated, and by all accounts spotlessly clean. Absolutely no complaints there.
When I finished I was a very full, happy camper and will definitely go back if I find myself in the area. Total damages ran to a shade over $17 and that’s not bad at all.
I tried their panang curry with a level 3 spiciness. It was good! The flavors were quite tasty. Definitely a solid choice for Thai food.
The appetizer sampler was delicious and also a great value. I loved the green curry. The Thai eggplant was delicious in it. I ordered it hot, but not Thai hot. I found it to be very tolerable and next time I will order it Thai spicy because I’m a lush for spice.
I don’t recall which dish my friend ordered, but the thinly sliced chicken was a tad dry and the sauce was definitely on the sweeter side. The flavors were still good.
That said, will definitely return to sample more dishes!
The ambience is really good. I ordered their yellow curry which comes with the soup of the day and jasmine rice. I wanted the spice level as hot. Good quantity and the flavor was good. I still feel Lanna Thai and Tropical might be better in terms of taste but for the price, this was good. There was lot of chicken. Potato could have been boiled little bit more but overall I liked the experience. Maybe need to try red and green curries and pad thai next time.
