Also known as Broke Folks Food. Husband had triple smash burger and I had a poboy fish Sandwich with French. We shared a pineapple colada.
You can’t go wrong with a great burger… and it was great. The fish was not what I expected! In a good way. It came with this spicy sauce on it that was just right. Literally I have had my mind thinking about that sauce since we left the island 3 weeks ago.
The colada was very good topped with a spice that set the whole thing off.
The women who ran the truck was really down to earth and helped us with suggestions for things to see in the island.
Down side: she was closed the last day we were there which means we could eat there again

Got the smash burger and it was SO GOOD! Just had a burger yesterday at another spot and it was good, but it felt like something was missing. This smash burger here at the sweet spot was perfection!! Smashed patty on a warm bun with really good sauce and lots of cheese. My bf got the double with bacon and he loved it as well. Sounds so simple, but it really is all you need. I wish we’d tried it sooner so we can come back again and again. The people working were also very sweet, thank you! Their IG on the stand is @brokefolkstruck

I always wondered why this place didn’t get as much business as the other food trucks in the area. Now I know why. I decided to give them a try last night. Ordered two double burgers, one single and one side of fries. A double is listed at $10.50 and a single is listed at $8.50 (fries were $3). So in total it should have been $32.50 before tax. The owner did not interact with me and instead had two children complete the transaction. One of the children asked if $45 was correct. An odd question, but since I wasn’t thinking about it too hard, I assumed they knew what they were doing. After I paid, I realized it was not correct and the owner even told me it was because I used card and not cash. What place gives you a 35% discount for using cash? The whole interaction rubbed me off the wrong way. I wanted to give them business but I for sure hope no one else gets scammed like I did. Really unprofessional and it’s unfortunate because the food was pretty good.

Stumbled into this gem looking for food and the vibes were awesome. Tia was super friendly and the smoked nachos were sooooo good! I ended up accidentally leaving my wallet last night, thought it was a goner. They even had some tasty cocktails at great prices.

This spot is bomb. Cozy atmosphere and low key. Great food and friendly service. The stuffed French toast is . And the salmon dynamite bites . The Kalamansi Cooler is refreshing for happy hour.

Went to Fete looking for a good meal….it was TERRIBLE! Came over to broke folks and was instantly greeted with respect and wonderful hospitality before getting the BEST food I’ve had in a long long time! The chicken wings and po boi sandwich was truthfully perfection. Being a travelling Chef I’ve seen my fair share of equisite food and this was one of my all time favourites! Not coming here is the biggest mistake one could make.
