My wife and I chose Rooster’s in Ballantyne for our Valentine’s Day date night, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Everything we had was exceptional, and the service made the evening even more special.
Our server, Dillon, was fantastic—attentive without hovering, genuinely friendly, and his great personality and sense of humor kept us smiling all night. He really elevated the whole experience.
We started with the charcuterie board and calamari appetizer—both were delicious, beautifully presented, and the perfect way to kick things off. For entrees, my wife ordered the short rib (tender, flavorful, fall-off-the-bone perfection) and I went with the NY strip, which was cooked exactly to order and one of the best steaks I’ve had in a while. The Brussels sprouts and butternut squash sides were outstanding—seasoned perfectly and full of flavor.
We also loved the cocktails: my wife’s espresso martini was rich and spot-on, and my Italian Paloma was refreshing and balanced.
Everything was truly amazing—food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. Rooster’s made our Valentine’s Day memorable, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend for date nights or any special occasion! Thank you, Dillon and the whole team!
The pimento cheese appetizer is a standout and a must-order, and the salads are fresh, colorful, and beautifully presented. Everything we had tasted fantastic. Highly recommend Roosters for a great meal in a beautiful setting!
The table was terribly sticky, as if it had been covered in varnish .
There were many waiters (one brought bread: no butter, and the bread wasn’t warm as expected. Another brought water. A third took the order). The waiting time was long .
When we saw the portion size, we were terribly surprised. The steak was the size of a child’s portion . It was cold and tasteless. And it wasn’t worth $44 .
The menu didn’t specify that the calamari would be fried.
The side dish was an extra charge . The dinner was unpleasant. We left hungry and having wasted a lot of money. We have no desire to ever visit this place again.
The host was friendly, once We get table our server was basic just to say some … She did took our food order! The plates are little compared the price, the chicken is very small, the onion rings and calamari was really good!
Our server appear magically and We decided order 2 beer, We waiting around 20 minutes or more and never receive it, then We did ask for it to another server but We either got it!
The manager came to our table to bring apologies for the inconvenience caused and I would said He did explained Us was crazy day, they didn’t expected so many customer as been into the restaurant!
