I am updating my **5-star review to 1 star**. When this place first opened, their food was outstanding, but over time, they’ve significantly compromised on both taste and quality. Now, the food is completely **tasteless and bland**—even the curries are just *meh*. It’s no longer the same.
I recommend trying **Bakery Bites** and **Chaat Paradise** in the same block instead—they offer **tastier and more affordable food**. The only downside is that neither serves non-veg, but they always maintain great quality and value for money.
I’ve been **repeatedly disappointed** by the curries and biryani over the past several months. Even after giving their weekend buffet two chances, I found everything **flavorless and noticeably old**—you could tell the chicken in the appetizers wasn’t fresh. They may have **lowered the buffet price**, but it came at the cost of **quality**.
**No longer recommended.**
Absolutely the best Indian food in and around Sacramento!
Curries and Biryani in Folsom is hands down my go-to spot for authentic, flavorful Indian cuisine. The quality of the food is consistently top-notch, and their buffet is a must-try — a perfect way to sample a wide variety of dishes that are all fresh, delicious, and totally worth it.
They have specials everyday for dinners. Which is best bang for the buck!
A special shout-out to Karan, who is incredibly friendly and helpful. His warm hospitality makes the dining experience even better. Whether you’re new to Indian food or a longtime fan, you’ll feel right at home here.
Highly recommended — whether you’re in Folsom or anywhere in the Sacramento area, it’s worth the drive!
As an Indian I feel that the standards are so low I am sad for my country USA. The standards have declined so much.
Chipped plates, grimy tables, buffet spoon handles with gravy etc etc.
I would have given a zero but hope the single star will encourage them to do better!

The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was concerning. The surroundings felt sticky, and even the plate I was given still had residue on it, which made the experience quite uncomfortable. Cleanliness is a key part of dining, so I hope this can be improved moving forward.
One of our dishes did not arrive. When we requested a refund, we were told that the order was ready, which raises the question—if it was ready, why was it never served to us?”
Respond to Owners message- Yes we do see your menu every day and we do understand the effort of the chefs and everyone’s time however at the end if the food is not good for the amount you pay then all the efforts are gone in drain. I don’t want to discourage anyone as everyone has their personal opinion hence we review and give our own feedback
Mutton biryani was extremely tasty, you can tell it’s made with quality ingredients, love and care.
We will be visiting this place again and again!
