Visited on a Sunday morning right at opening time. The salad bar was just set up, but I had to skip it due to the lettuce looking wilted, and the glass over the bar was filthy. The pizza was still coming out hot and fresh it was good.
The dining room was clean, and the tables were clean.

Took our friends from Texas to Pizza Hut after church as we were hungry for pizza and a nice salad bar. Took one look and saw the salad bar looked awful as the celery had brown spots on the ends the salad bowl hardly had anything in it and what was there was wilted. We ordered a large hand-tossed pizza and when it came to our table it was barely warm and very undercooked. Very disappointed in our local Pizza Hut. I only saw one gal working and it looked like she was doing the best she could. I know Russell can do better than this.

My family and I were traveling through Kansas and saw a billboard that showed a nearby Pizza Hut with a lunch buffet. We were excited. This location has their lunch buffet 11:30 AM – 1 PM.
I should have known by look the main waitress gave me when we walked in that we should have turned around and left.
We were extremely disappointed to find that the staff would not make any more pizzas or anything for the buffet at the time we walked in at 12:50.
There were several pizzas with 3-4 slices left, including veggie lover, pineapple & ham, and sausage. They had a few cinnamon bread sticks and regular bread sticks, but everything appeared untouched for some time.
When we complained about it to the staff, the manager spoke about profit and not making any money off making one fresh pizza for the buffet at that point.
Several other parties walked in around that same time, and I thought they could’ve made some money but chose not to. Sad.
The entire restaurant was grimy and needed a good cleaning. One entrance door had a sign that read the door is broken, please use other door. The women’s restroom lock was broken.
It was just a bad experience. If you can, go to the one in Wakeeney.

Stopped in when traveling. Excellent service and friendly. The pizza and breadsticks were hot and very good! I would definitely stop in again.

So apparently the deep fryer wouldn’t start at 4 PM this evening. The manager called me and told me this and offered to either reimburse the money or give me something different so I chose something different, My order arrived a little late, but that’s nothing to be complaining about if their deep fryer is not functioning properly. But it turns out they finally got the fryer working and sent it out. Not only the food that I requested as an exchange for the nuggets that I was originally going to get. But I also got the nuggets as well. Thank you, Pizza Hut, you’re in Russell. For not only being cooperative for going above and beyond to support your community.

Service was good, we got garlic parm and honey teriyaki bone out wings with cheese garlic knots and my husband and I both got personal loan pizzas. Garlic white sauce with chicken and bacon, and then the bbq chicken pizza. Everything was so good, and fresh and hot. Was right next door to my hotel so was even better. Only disappoint was we thought it would be the buffet but they weren’t doing it, only salad bar. Still great time and food tho.

We stopped on our way through on a road trip because we knew a buffet would be quick.
The salad bar was ok and about what I expected although there is definitely room for improvement. The pizza was really disappointing. Buffet started at 11:30. We walked in at 11:40 and several of the pizzas looked old. There was no plain pepperoni pizza offered nor was one planned to be offered. If you have kids that’s the easiest to get them to eat. They did add an extra pizza while we were there but almost every option was very similar with the only difference being the crust.
We are enough to fill up but it wasn’t really an enjoyable experience.
The nostalgia was nice as this seems to be a very old pizza hut.

I should’ve been concerned when the app said my food would be ready in 15 minutes. I ordered Thin ‘N Crispy crust and received thin and grease-soaked. Pizza was sitting in a pool of grease in the box. Breadsticks and cinnamon sticks were under cooked and doughy. Worst experience ever at Pizza Hut.

Folks, it’s 2025 and all over the country Pizza hut’s have changed their beautiful Red roofs into an ugly gray color. The honor road trip we found this gem!!! As of today July 2025 they still have the old Red roof up:-D took a bunch of pictures… check it out!!!
