This place is an absolute gem! I’ve been here two times now after sleeping on it since they opened. The food is great and you can’t beat the service anywhere else. Everything is made with care. Henry behind the counter always has the best service and is one of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. The first time I came in I tried the wings hot, red beans and rice, and some fries. The fries were very crispy and well seasoned, and the red beans and rice, while somewhat liquidy, was great. The wings were delicious and for their price I couldn’t have asked for better. I decided to come back in another day and this time I got a few more things so I could try some other things. I got the wings and fries again and they were just as good this time. I also got some fried pickles and fried green tomatoes. They were done extremely well but it was more of a chicken fried batter. Not exactly my style but for people who enjoy that they would be great! Overall very satisfied as usual and I cannot wait to visit again!

Just stopped in on our way back to Georgia. The sign says jumbo shrimp, they’re not kidding. Those shrimps were huge and very tasty. The fish tasted very fresh. My husband really loved the red beans and rice side, highly recommend it. I had the coleslaw and I loved it. Overall great meal and great price.

First time to try this place for my husband and I, but will NOT be our last! First of all, the service was awesome. The girl taking our order was so helpful and very sweet & polite. They deliver the food with condiments to your table. We shared the 8 piece fish plate with 2 sides and it was almost more than we could eat. We chose the fish to be grilled & it had sautéed onions & bell peppers and it was delicious! I would recommend for anyone to try Sam’s.

This is my first time trying Sam’s.
I used the drive thru
The food was good, and prepared to order
so pack on your patience
as you wait for your fresh food.
The burger was delicious with crispy fries
& fried okra was really good too
I will definitely try other items on the menu. I had to recommend them
and can’t wait to come back.

Ok so this place looks like a dump, and I’m pretty sure it used to be Taco Bell when I was like 7. I was apprehensive for sure. The music in the place SUX its like rider or die rod stewert and other crappy 80s dudes.. it was also very cold. BUT, the food was amazing!!! Fish was clean, shrimp were huge! All batter was different (for the most part) we also got the fried sampler (and I know it was too much fried stuff on my own doing) but the fried green tomatoes weren’t drippy, all of it was delicious! In the future I know the appetizer alone was plenty enough for two. But great portions, delicious food and well budgeted! Pardon the pic, we had already dug into the appetizer but it was plenty, I wanted to show different breading, because I dislike it so much when everything is fried in one type. My only complaint is the music and also the tartar was not tartar sauce. It was ok though flavor wise. Overall , would definitely do again!

First time diner. Got a takeout order of fried livers and fried green tomatoes. It was inedible. Their grease needs to be changed!! Everything had a bitter taste to it because of the burnt grease. I threw away the entire meal. I was really excited to try this restaurant after all the great reviews I read on Facebook. Guess it will be a one and done for me.

Looks can be deceiving! Pulled up to the place and wasn’t too sure from the outside but we decided to go in anyway and I’m glad we did! Food was fantastic! We got 3 piece fish with hush puppies and slaw and chicken livers with French fries and it was amazing. All the food was well cooked and fresh. Also portion sizes were huge compared to price. If I find myself in Mobile again,I will definitely be stopping here!

We were at an appointment in Mobile and decided to try something new to us. Sam’s Southern Eatery was very close by so we stopped in. This restaurant is a franchise out of Shreveport, LA. They have been open approximately three years. We were warmly greeted at the counter and when we asked what was good on the menu, the gentleman pointed out several “favorites”. We settled on the shrimp po boy and the 3 pc grilled fish. The portions were large. The food was served hot and tasted very good. The dining room is sparsely decorated but clean. We would recommend a visit to this restaurant.
