Great place to have Nepali and Tibetan food. The people there are awesome and are very attentive to the service.
We got cooker momo, biryani, and mustang aaloo and they were one of the best we have had in Pittsburgh. Will defined visit again. Highly recommend.

We live on Pittsburgh’s Northside and were heading to a birthday party in Brentwood when we decided to stop in for a meal — and we’re so glad we did. The food was truly impressive, and the service was warm and attentive from start to finish.
We ordered the chili momo, chicken thukpa, laphing, and chicken 65, and each dish was packed with flavor. The chili momo had the perfect balance of heat and savoriness, the thukpa was comforting and refreshing, and the laphing offered a unique texture with lots of heat. The chicken 65 was crispy, bold, and absolutely delicious.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’ll definitely be making the trip back again.

Very disappointing experience(Feb-23-2026).

We ordered chilli veg momo, steamed veg momo, paneer tikka masala, and laphing. The momo had carrots in the filling, making it sweet, not authentic at all. We couldn’t finish it. The paneer tikka masala was overloaded with heavy cream, didn’t even look right, and tasted bad. We couldn’t finish that either.

The laphing was far from authentic. We specifically requested no nuts, but they added a lot anyway. If you’re using the name “Bouddha Origin,” at least serve authentic Boudha-style food.

We used to visit every week when it was named as Allegheny Spice — the previous owner maintained real authentic taste. Since the new ownership and rename as Boudha origin , quality and service have dropped badly.

Good name, worst food. Would not recommend.

This restaurant is a must-visit spot, especially during cold weather. Their Peak Momo and Cooker Momo are absolute highlights and should not be missed—they’re flavorful, comforting, and perfect for warming up on a chilly day. The service is good and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. With a nice ambience that’s cozy and welcoming, this place offers a great combination of delicious food and a pleasant dining atmosphere. Highly recommended for momo lovers!

Went here today for my birthday lunch.
And oh my goodness the food is simply amazing. We got the non-veg platter and I hiiiiighly recommend it. Also the fried Momo’s were really really good.

When we went the owner was the only one currently working since it was just lunch time. He is kind and courteous, a wonderful chef and host.

The price point is really good too. I felt like we got a lot of food and didn’t break the bank. We will definitely come back here and bring many more people.

The food is really really good. We had the tikka paneer, veg bryani, and plain naan.
The service was great. They were very nice to our kids. The restaurant was clean and surprisingly well decorated given the size and location. It’s “insta” level, if you are one to take pictures for social media. (I’m too old for that, I’m there for the food!)
I know they have a lot of competition on that stretch. We’ve tried them all, and this one is the best!

I know restaurants seem to be a revolving door at that location, so I want to say…. If Boudha Origin ever needs to find a new location, come down 51 toward Uniontown. We would be regulars!

My husband’s coworker recommended this place for us to try out. It was so worth it. Reasonable prices, food was extremely delicious.

One big plus, they have French fries and nuggets, which is really nice because our 7yo daughter is a picky eater and having an option to order the food she likes while being able to eat what we like is really great.

We ordered Nepali soup and fried momos. Everything was so good, delicious, and rich in flavor. We’re definitely coming back to try out other items on the menu.

My family and I really enjoyed the food. It was delicious. We had very tender lamb curry and the chicken tandoori was tremendous. The garlic naan was very good too.
