I actually came here because the other, mediocre place is closed on Mondays. I’m glad I did.
As soon as I started walking from my car, I could smell that signature pho smell and I knew I was home.
It’s cute in there, nothing fancy, but is clean and quiet with calming music, so I adored it. Especially since I felt like crap…it was super comforting to have some yummy soup there today.
Anyway, there were only two people there besides me, so I was able to sit right away. The server who approached me was quiet and sweet.
I got the #47 (spicy beef noodle soup) and omg THAT BROTH was so delicious!! I can never finish a bowl of pho, but I came mighty close with this one.
I can’t wait to go again. Next time I won’t wait til I’m sick to have some.
Saigon has been a classic go-to and I’m glad to see them expanding to new locations. We heard this location has bánh mì and although it’s not on the menu we were told it’s available sporadically depending on their supplies. It was delicious! Full of flavor. A must if it’s available
Update 5/31 under different mgmt than a few years ago and the food is much better. I thoroughly enjoyed most of what was purchased yesterday. The only thing I wasn’t fond of was the seafood pho. I’ve never had pho before and I just don’t think it’s for me. The soup had kind of a bitter taste. The crispy spring rolls, pork, and beef were delicious! The dumplings weren’t that great, especially not the steamed ones. The summer rolls are much better now.
I recommend banh mi (although it’s more expensive than in Atlanta). I think the portion is larger than any other banh mi’s I have had.
Service is great. The server was nice.
Atmosphere is what you would expect from a Vietnamese pho restaurant.
Pho is alright. I had better, but the pho delivered what pho should deliver. (hot broth, noodle cooked just right, good veggies, meat and noodle ratio).
Appetizers are okay. I don’t personally want to get it again. If you want to try an appetizer, try summer roll. I enjoyed it.
Edit: Went back again to get takeout for the family. Wonton soup was amazing, summer rolls were fresh and the peanut sauce they came up was delicious. Tried their lemongrass beef and it was delicious – beef was very tender and well flavored, plus a good size portion. Also ordered some grilled pork and rice dish, which I thought was alright (a little on the vinegary side for me) but my husband who ordered it really liked it. I have yet to be disappointed by anything on their menu – and their iced Vietnamese coffee is to die for!!!! Will be making this a regular go-to spot for sure. ♥️
