This place was an absolutely great find! We immediately loved the vibe and coziness of this place. I have to admit, it was the smell of the smoker that got us in the door. The food was so delicious, and our server, Kylee, was the sweetest; she was so kind and very helpful. We really couldn’t decide on what to eat. We wanted breakfast, but also wanted to try some of the meat… We were not disappointed at all. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely make the effort to return!”

A Texas-Native’s Take on Clarksburg BBQ
I grew up in South Texas, raised on the best BBQ from Beaumont to San Antonio and everywhere in between. I know what ‘Good BBQ’ is—and more importantly, I know what it isn’t. I’ve spent the last 3 years using South Texas BBQ in Weston as my West Virginia benchmark, but a stop at Whiskey Biscuits in Clarksburg proved that there’s more than one way to handle a pit.
The Highlights:
The Wings: These are, without question, the best wings I have ever tasted. Most places just deep-fry and toss them in sauce, but these had a genuine BBQ bark and a deep smoky flavor. The ‘Honey Fire Garlic’ sauce had just enough warmth to make you slow down and savor the crispness. Phenomenal.
Ribs & Pulled Pork: I’m usually not a fan of pulled pork, but this was a revelation. To get that level of bark and char on pulled pork while keeping it tender is a feat. The ribs followed suit—fall-off-the-bone tender with a smoky flavor that tasted fresh off the pit.
The Critique:
The Brisket: Brisket is the hardest to get right. My specific cut was a bit dry (likely an end piece), though my friend’s slice was moist and flavorful enough to stand without sauce. It’s a strong contender, though whether it beats my Weston favorite is a matter of opinion.
Burnt Ends: This was the only miss for me. I’m used to a heavy bark and pit-char; these were wet and lacked that bite, reminding me more of the ‘pork’ found in a can of beans.
The Verdict:
If you’re in the Clarksburg area, don’t think twice—get to Whiskey Biscuits. It’s a different style than what I’m used to in Weston, but the quality is undeniable. As a Texan, I don’t say that lightly.”

Let me start off by saying this was a delicious burger. Perfectly cooked and the toppings were also just right. The bun was toasted and soft just the way I like it. The fries were also pretty good (even though I’m not usually a fan of waffle fries). Back to the burger; I consider myself a bit of a smashburger connoisseur, and I would not classify this as a true “smashburger.” Again, very delicious, would recommend, but not a smashburger in my opinion. I will definitely be going back to try some of the barbecue! I would highly recommend checking them out!

Driving through Clarksburg looking for a place to eat and “Whiskey Biscuits” popped up on the map and it called to us. In the midst of a shopping center the outside caught our attention but we were unsure of what to expect until we got in the door. Wow! The hospitality was over the top friendly, the Waite staff attentive and willing to engage in conversation. The foods were excellent with Smoked ribs and an Avocado Smash Burger both were excellent. I also had Onion Rings and they rated a thumbs up. If you are looking for something a little different but wonderful this cozy place is for you. This was a delightful find.

From the moment I walked in, the aroma from the smoker was incredible — you could tell right away this place takes their food seriously. The service was outstanding; my server was attentive, friendly, and genuinely made the experience even better.
The beer selection was spot on with great variety, and the food absolutely delivered. Everything was flavorful, perfectly prepared, and clearly made with care. The menu itself is impressive — so many options I already can’t wait to come back and try more.
Whiskey Biscuits is officially my new favorite spot.

Their food was amazing! The wings were the best wings I’ve ever had. My husband and I, get wings at almost every place we eat and this place is by far the best. The service was top notch…very friendly and accommodating! I highly recommend this place! I had the avocado smash burger and it was a 10/10

Let me tell you this little place packs BIG flavor. The staff was SUPER nice. Server explained the menu to me in detail. Came back and checked on me multiple times as well and did it with a smile. I ordered a skillet and it was much better than I thought it was going to be. The skillet was top notch eggs were REAL eggs the whiskey biscuit so good so moist with a crust on the outside. Hands down if you haven’t been here you NEED to get here!!!!

When I saw breakfast all day I had to go get some for dinner. I went on a Thursday around 6:30pm. There was hardly anyone there. I don’t understand why because the food and service were great. I got the club skillet which was delicious.

Service was fantastic, waitress very polite and attentive. The butter garlic parmesan wings are out of this world. Everything we tried was very good except the beans. The beans are OK, just nothing special. Wife’s waffle fries were excellent crispes just right. We highly recommend.

Fun atmosphere. Bit of a honky-tonk vibe. The fun and friendly wait staff is only exceeded by the tasty food. I highly recommend the wings. Wife loved her smash burger. We are anxious to get back to try some of the other offerings. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
