Enjoyed AWESOME breakfast sandwich and signature home fries! Incredible homestyle melty goodness and taters made from scratch like I’ve never had! It’s been a few years since I’ve been able to dine at The Chalet, and it’s as great as ever! Jean’s service is INCREDIBLE, and a pleasant reminder of excellence in hospitality. The Chalet probably is the most wonderful little restaurant in all of Dodge County, just off Highway 33 outside of Fox Lake. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, it was a ten. The food was perfect. We had the fish combo, which is a combination of perch, walleye, and bluegill. I also had a side of French onion soup and French fries. We also ordered poor man’s lobster, which is some delicious baked cod. The sides that were ordered with that were the potato pancake, rye bread, and an order of the best brandy old-fashioned I’ve ever had. As for the service, I’ve never seen friendlier people in my life. They make you feel like you’re at home. If you’re looking for a nice, peaceful time with nice staff and delicious food, this is definitely the place for you.

The Chalet is a hidden gem!! We sat in the cozy sunroom. The service was top notch, personable and a true Wisconsin experience. The food was cooked to perfection and the bloody Mary was on point. We truly enjoyed our breakfast experience and can’t wait to go back! Thanks again, Chrissy, Tim & Kids

WOW! New owners as of April 2024. Awesome customer service from every single person who worked in the place. Food was excellent as were portion sizes with fair prices. Cocktails are available, nice outside patio dining area, cozy inside, clean & they even have your daily banana for purchase in a bowl on the counter. Highly recommend patronizing this local establishment. I was informed they buy all ingredients fresh & from local area farms etc. I will be back here as often as my schedule allows

Such a lovely atmosphere. Such a cute little diner with beautiful outdoor seating. My favorite part is that everyone there makes you feel like you are part of the family. The Eggs Benedict was fantastic. I’m very excited to go back soon!!

After driving by the Chalet for 27 years on our way from Watertown, Wi to Berlin, WI, we made the Chalet our destination yesterday morning. We were greeted and seated in the cozy, warming dining room. My wife ordered a cheeseburger with chips; I, at the recommendation of another diner, ordered the meat lovers’ omelette with the optional polish sausage. Coffee refills were frequent and timely. We had extensive conversation with the owner man and wife and their outstanding server-daughter. We had really nice dining experience; we were made to feel like family, although we didn’t have to do anything except eat, enjoy, and pay. This is not five star fine French dining. This is a cozy, comfortable, social dining experience with really good food and nice people. Of course, neither of us finished our meal, so we get to enjoy the Chalet remotely today. Thank you so much. We will see you again soon and recommend you to our friends. And I heartily disagree with the one review I saw where the person didn’t think he got value for his dollar. I think the prices are competitive with other restaurants in this part of the worls, and the food is better than most.

Stopped in for lunch with family and we were immediately greeted and made to feel welcomed. The staff was extremely friendly and very efficient. These people are definitely in the right business!! Our food was delicious and very nice portions. We couldn’t believe how affordable everything was for what you get. They are very personable and we enjoyed our lunch very much We definitely had a Chalet of a day! We will surely visit again next time we’re in town!

Cute little mom and pop style restaurant. Our server Jasmine was on top of everything. The French toast was perfect. I ate too fast so no picture today. Jean was bubbly and attentive we left to her wishes of “have a chalet of a day” will definitely be back.
