I’m not sure what I really expected, but I really didn’t expect to have a great meal here. And I probably wouldn’t even leave this review except for how kind and helpful the server was, Samantha. She helped me order my two dishes and I loved each. First I had calamar. She told me that was hand cut in the shape of fries right in the kitchen. The other dish I had was fish tacos per her recommendation and they were amazing. I can say I don’t think they looked as good as they tasted, but they really we’re great. Here’s a hint. The half cracked sauce was really spicy with not a whole lot of flavor, but when I added ketchup to it it was amazing. So if you’re staying at Sunseeker or even if you’re not, you’ll enjoy the food cook at this tiki themed restaurant called half cracked.

Crab cakes… $22.50 for 2 flat small crab cakes. Are you serious. Tasted ok but not worth the money. Tae the waitress, was the sweetest human on earth with great service and the new manager was great. But with prices and small portions like this with a new limited menu do not see myself coming back EVER. oh and they are open even though the hours on Google say they aren’t?

A couple of days ago, my wife and I went out to celebrate our monthly romantic dinner. This restaurant had been recommended to us, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice.
We were attended by Miss Gisella, who, after listening to our preferences, quickly recommended some delicious dishes that we absolutely loved. Our evening was perfect — the food and the service were both excellent.
We truly had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this place for romantic dates, gatherings with friends, or simply for anyone looking to enjoy a great meal and a pleasant atmosphere.

Our server was nice.
The hostess was all over the place abd didnt know if she was coming or going and didnt know what was going on.
Once we were seated we didnt see our server for at least 10 – 15 mins.
Once we ordered our entres it took over an hour for them to come out
I ordered the fish and chips it was good but not $31 good.
Hubby ordered fish tacos … $20 for 3 small ones , he said they wernt bad.
Daughter ordered steak cooked to BLUE RARE it came out medium rare. Didn’t have the time to send it back.
This was a tuesday night….. & they wernt even busy. Being someone that has worked in the food industry i would say this was a calm evening.
We ordered Gator bites as an app. They were good but could have came out hotter than they were.
Again the server was nice. She definitely could have checked in more but no bog complaints about her.

So we are at Half Cracked Tiki Shack. We originally planned on eating breakfast at the American grill across the hall but they don’t serve breakfast anymore. I came specifically for the blueberry pancakes. I had them before and they were GREAT! So I ordered them. The waitress was less than helpful although she finally went into the kitchen to ask. She came back and said we have blueberry syrup and we can put blueberries on the side. My reply was if they can put them on the side why can’t they put them in the batter. She said that’s what they said. Not being in the mood to ask for the manager and go thru that first thing in the morning. I ordered something else. But that is absolutely ridiculous, especially at the prices of things here. Customer service is horrible and they just don’t care. Chairs are extremely uncomfortable too. Just got my eggs supposed to be over medium they were not the white around the yolk was still raw. The potatoes are cold the bacon is limp and greasy the toast is burnt and covered in oil. I asked for dry toast with butter on the side. I’m not being picky, I unfortunately have dietary restrictions and there is grease all over the plate. They brought a new one. The eggs are cooked. The potatoes are warm, the bacon is still soggy, toast is burnt again but not covered in grease and a side of butter is on the plate. The plate however is covered in grease again. The hostess came over and comped the meal, we never saw the waitress again……and yes we still left a tip.

Seafood restaurant attached to the Sunseeker Resort that does a great job of preparing and presenting their dishes. However, it did take quite a while for our meal to be cooked and delivered. All the hot dishes seemed hot enough so it wasn’t as if they had been sitting a long time to be served, which led to the impression the chefs/cooks were slow. The server was great, but 4 stars for slow kitchen. We had crab claws, calamari fries, salmon and crab cake. Everything was tasty with nice tasting sauces to go along with everything! The only thing we did not care for was the slaw under the crab cake.
We went for a second lunch before leaving Sunseeker. The service was much better. We had calamari fries, clam chowder, shrimp cocktail and split the grouper entree except for the clam chowder, the food was excellent again! Unexpectedly, there were 8 shrimp on the cocktail!

$16.95 for 4 painfully average-sized coconut shrimp on a plate with a scoop of cole slaw on it. Literally, frozen coconut shrimp from Costco in the air fryer is far superior. And the key lime salmon dish… My husband and I both ordered this because sadly, they were out of every other entree we would’ve chosen (3 of their limited menu entree options were unavailable), and it was clear the second it was placed before us that it was overcooked and dry. And it was confirmed once we started eating. We haven’t been on a date in a very long time (toddler under 2 at home) and were so excited to come here after having a great experience the one other time we came over a year ago, but it was nothing like before. It’s expensive and completely underwhelming. I would much rather cook my own meals at home than spend $150+ on 2 bites of shrimp, dry overcooked salmon, and 2 Mich Ultras. The atmosphere is great, the server was very friendly, but those were the only redeeming qualities for both my husband and myself. Such a huge disappointment. We stopped and bought Reese’s peanut butter cups and a tuna croissant at Wawa on the way home because I barely ate any of the salmon, and our Wawa trip was the highlight of the evening.

It’s not all it’s cracked up to be! We should have known by the empty tables when we arrived, but we decided to give them a try. Maddie served us and she was wonderful! I decided to get the $8 drink special with Bacardi Gold. Total disappointment! It was extremely sour. The worst was the Calamari “Fries” which were so greasy to the point the breading was falling off. I had the steak salad and unfortunately the steak was very chewy. My fiancé had the fish tacos with old bay fries. He said the fish was cold and under seasoned. The only thing we enjoyed was the fries! I hope they take these reviews and turn this place around for the better. This could have so much potential due to its location.

Except for the service, food, and drink..it was lovely. We waited at least 15 minutes outside for service. Our server was apologetic and nice. The place was NOT crowded at all. Our food was not good. We got stringy rubbery calamari, over cooked coconut shrimp appetize, and a watery $32 blue carribean coctail. The day was beautiful. I will try them again as we live close by.
