I purchased a Big NewYorker 18″ Pizza as I had many times prior at the Pizza Hut im Yorktown, VA location near Food Lion. I prepaid, and returned 15 minutes later, checked the box and the pizza was smaller I stated this is not the type pf pizza I requested. The young hirl stated it was the correct pizza. I left disappointed. Then felt the lihhtness of the box and returned to the store requested the manger to look at this pizza it’s smaller. He looked breigly from his computer and stated, it’s 18″, i told him, I would go to Gus’s in the future and no longer here. When I returned to my car and tasted the pizza the crust was thin, hard and tasted like old pizza. I will never return to this location. I recommend any other pizza location. However, Gus’s New York pizza in Yorktown, VA. Also, never prepay at this location until you see what you recieve. Worst pizza ever purchased. Too many teenagers working at this location. The service and military discount are not worth it at this Pizza Hut. Gus’s New York Pizza offers a discount for military as well.

We had ordered an Extra Large “Big New Yorker,” but upon receiving it (when told it would be ready) there was a myriad of problems.
About a week before this particular visit, we’d ordered the same pizza. This time, the box was not only smaller and lighter, but the slices were much smaller in comparison. When we asked the manager about this, he’d insisted that it was the correct size.
However, the pizza we received was not hot, instead warm, and the crust was cold. The pizza itself was thin, along with the layer of cheese that had crusted. Considering that the only staff that we’ve ever come across are teenagers, I wouldn’t be surprised if one had swapped our pizza for another’s “for a friend.”
We will not be returning to this location, or likely any other Pizza Hut to be safe. If you are in this area and are looking for a pizza, I recommend “Gus’s New York Pizza” next to Kroger (closest to here.)

My pizza arrived 45 minutes late. Not sure if the pizza got jacked up on the ride or when the driver couldn’t get the box out of the bag, but unfortunately I was not happy with the experience or the pizza.

It seems like most Pizza Huts have gone to take out (economic reasons I guess). Use to be restaurant style. But the pizzas are still excellent. They now offer several different types of pizzas trying to accommodate different tastes. They still offer deals to entice people to buy Pizza Hut – pizza joints everywhere. So if you can strike a deal, price is good and Pizza is always yummy.
