Before coming, I called ahead and asked what time lunch pricing ran until. I was told 4:00 PM, and that dinner prices started after that. I arrived about 5–10 minutes before 4:00, and when I got to the front desk I was told it would now be about $5 more, not including a drink — and that I would need to finish eating in 10 minutes… no, actually 5 minutes — and be out before 4:00 in order to pay the lunch price.
I’ve never heard of anything like that. I was willing to pay the dinner price, but the way it was handled made absolutely no sense. She did eventually offer to charge me the lunch price, but by that point I decided I wasn’t going to spend my money there.
It’s a shame when small businesses try to operate like big corporations, because they end up losing customers instead of keeping them. They completely lost out on a sale, and I won’t be returning. I’d rather drive 45 minutes to Glassboro to go to another Chinese buffet.
Don’t be surprised when you wonder why the prices are low — the food isn’t even that great. I was just hungry after working all day out in the snow, and this experience wasn’t worth it.
.
Great job! Definitely give them a try
The chicken chow mein turned out to be chicken with mysterious yellow color rice . The rice smells oily and tastes like wood. See the first picture.
Sour and sweet chicken turned out to be fried chicken with super thick crust. Not at all the typical orange chicken. This dish also comes with the same mysterious yellow color stale rice. See the second picture.
Wonton with hot oil turns out to be lukewarm dumplings covered with thick tomato souce. Wonderful. What do you mean by hot oil? See the third picture.
I called the restaurant and they argued this is their version and they had done like that for 30 years. I am not sure whether the chef, if there is one, just had a bad day or the covid pressure really hit this restaurant into desperate situations. But business like that won’t last.
Just in case the owner is reading reviews. I provide pictures (last three) of the three dishes, how typical Chinese restaurants in the USA cook them. You are welcome.
My favorite walnut chicken and house clams casino
Definitely strawberry ice cream with cherries for dessert

Unfortunately, the atmosphere really needs a refresh.
Maybe sit at a table instead of a booth.
