While we awaited our table, we were able to sample the wine which we took to our table.
McKenzie and Olivia welcomed us and explained the menu. We opted for a bottle of Cabernet which they put in the very classy aerator for us to enjoy during the meal.
The potstickers and the drunken shrimp proved to be excellent appetizers while we enjoyed the Cabernet. I suggest you split the wedge salad, which is huge and very fresh.
We struggled to choose our entrées-the grilled heirloom pork ribeye was absolutely exceptional
The filet as well as the surf & turf were fine choices as well
Olivia and McKenzie were attentive and fun
Derek, the manager kindly stop by to make sure that everything was outstanding for us. I told him we would be back next month and I certainly will opt for that heirloom pork ribeye!
It’s a little noisy but we were able to have a conversation without any trouble. If you wanna try this place I suggest going before 5 and definitely making reservations. I would’ve given 5 stars had I not felt completely ignored when I approached the hostess stand.
The venue was packed—which is to be expected for the holidays—but the acoustics were surprisingly impressive. Despite the crowd, our group of four could hold a conversation without raising our voices. One small tip for the “seasoned” crowd: the lighting is atmospheric (read: dim), so keep your phone flashlights handy to navigate the extensive menu!
Our table had very different experiences depending on what was ordered:
Positives: My buddy and I both opted for the Filet Medallions with Crab-Stuffed Lobster Tail from the Chef’s menu. It was, in a word, fantastic. In fact, we both found ourselves taking smaller and smaller bites just to make the experience last as long as possible.
Negatives: Our wives were less impressed. One ordered the Plain Salmon, which she found somewhat underwhelming and “just okay.” The other tried the Spaghetti and Meatballs, but the dish didn’t land well—the noodles were far too thick for her preference, and the combination of cheese and toppings didn’t hit the mark.
The absolute highlight of the night was our server, Ciara. She was incredibly upbeat and possessed an impressive, deep knowledge of the entire menu.
I’m particularly sensitive to “table clutter,” and after mentioning this to her once, she was on top of it all night. Empty plates and glasses vanished almost instantly. To be honest, her professionalism and personality were the main reasons I decided to officially join the Wine Club before we left.
While the standard fare (salmon and pasta) didn’t quite wow the ladies, the premium steak and seafood options were top-tier. Between the superb ambiance and Ciara’s world-class service, I will definitely be back. Next time, I’m planning to try the Soy Ginger Salmon to see if it provides that extra “kick” the plain version lacked.
