I’ve been going every year, and it always delivers. This time I had the pepperoni pizza, and honestly, it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The crust was perfectly baked, the pepperoni had just the right amount of crisp, and the cheese was melted to perfection. I actually saw them take it out of the oven it came out hot and fresh, and you could smell how good it was before it even got to the table. Everything was done quickly but with care. The service was fast, the staff were super friendly as always, and the whole place just has this relaxed, welcoming vibe. If you’re looking for great pizza and a place that gets it right every time, Buona Vita is it. Highly recommend!

Okay, I have to talk about the pretzel at Buona Vita… it’s honestly insane. I live in Ocean City and I seriously can’t stop coming here just to get it. It’s soft, warm, perfectly salted, and has that buttery flavor that makes every bite feel like comfort food heaven.

Every summer, Buona Vita is my go-to spot and it never disappoints. This place has become a tradition for me, and one of the highlights of the menu has to be the Parmesan Meatballs. They’re incredibly flavorful: juicy on the inside, with that perfect touch of crispy cheese on the outside. You can tell they’re made fresh, with real care. It’s simple food, done righ. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and order the Parmesan Meatballs. And really, anything else on the menu. Buona Vita just gets it right, every single time.

We had a 12 inch pepperoni pizza and it was so good we wished we had ordered a bigger one! I liked it so much I ate the crust which I rarely do! We stayed at the Flagship hotel nearby and dined in for dinner here late Saturday afternoon. The staff was super friendly and nice. They have a great little arcade we played in until our pizza was done which was only about 20 min or so? Seemed quick to us! Cozy atmosphere, great pizza and nice people. The pizzas were a little pricey but not too bad for the boardwalk! In the end we didn’t care because it was so good! We will definitely go back next time we visit!

If I could give this place a negative I would if I could. Being in a military populated state, they wouldn’t accept military ID (a federally recognized ID, even more than a regular non real ID license) as a form of identification. Probably because they lack familiarity with how to read it and just resorted to saying they don’t accept it because the kid at the counter didn’t know where the birthday was. When I asked why they don’t accept a federally approved identification the guy straight up ignored me. Lovely place. Not worth the disrespect.

Caroline was the cashier Mr. Irwin made my food and I spoke with the owner. We came down here for a bike week 2025 and I can honestly tell you it was not only beautiful, but the calzone was absolutely delicious and so big that I couldn’t eat it all. Please come and give them a try if you’re ever down here in Ocean City at the grand Hotel one of the best restaurants ever! Worth the price every cent so delicious

Ordered here for room service. When I called down to place the order the phone just rang busy. After a few times of doing this, I went down to place my order. They said the phones were down. I placed my order, the girl taking the order kept checking the menu to figure out the price and asking other employees if they had certain items. After taking payment for said order (spaghetti, garlic knots, fries, single slice of pepperoni pizza) the girl said it would be 15 minutes and they would bring my food up for my room service. This took place at 10pm they close at 11pm. At 1040pm I still had not received my food and they were closing in 20 minutes. I could not call down because the phones didn’t work so I went down again. I came up to the counter and saw they were pulling the spaghetti out of the oven . I told them I was told 15 minutes and it has been 40 minutes. The manager (only person who seemed to understand western language) said the food has been made and there was nothing he can do. I told him I should not have to come and get my room service (defeats the point). He said he didn’t care and would not give any money back to me. The manager did offer to still deliver the now ready food to my room even though I was standing in front of him. Feeling displeased with the service I took up the manager on his offer and was accompanied back to my room with one of his employees who was holding my food. We rode the elevator up together and she came right to my door handed me the food and apologized. As displeased as I was with the service it did not compare to the food. The garlic knots were cold. The spaghetti had a weird spice in it. The spaghetti does come with a tomato sauce with it. This tomato sauce was about 2 inches of water and an actual whole tomato . The pizza is an old family recipe that im gonna let you in on: make dough, make sauce, put on cheese, put on pepperoni, cook, remove from oven, freeze pizza and serve. Ice cold is an understatement. Not to mention they didnt give us any ketchup which was asked for or any pepper which was asked for. Not only the worst place in ocean city but worst I’ve been to in years.
