I had a terrible experience today. The beans were tasteless and oily (I’m sending a photo). The pig’s trotters were too small and full of fat, not meat. The garlic sauce was disgusting; it was inedible. My husband ordered ropa vieja, and the meat was sweet, which is not normal for that type of dish. The quality of the food has really gone downhill. I think I have a new favorite spot! My partner and I stumbled across this food cart and were blown away. He got the cuban sandwich and I got the paella – both were flavorful and amazing quality. The paella serving was so generous, that we *both* ate the leftovers for dinner!

The Zed location (on 92nd) I got the Paella, and it had fried rice with seafood pieces and bell pepper, and about 5 shrimp, 2 clams, fried plantains, and chopped veggie cole slaw!!! It was wonderfully seasoned and a large portion. Loved the flavors!

I’m a new fan of Havana Station. Immediately the flavors took me away to the authentic restaurants I use to eat at in Miami. Thank God we have decent Cuban food now on Portland. My ropa vieja was extremely delicious that I could’ve eaten 5 pounds of it easy and the sauce it came with was excellent. The maduros were 100% cooked perfectly too. I knew I was on the right spot when other patrons were complimenting the business on its flavors. Going to try a mouth watering cubanito next.

From the moment I walked into the food truck park, I was greeted warmly by the employee manning the window. He was very helpful with explaining what they had to offer and was very excited to share the Cuban cuisine experience with everyone. I ended up ordering the Cuban Sandwich, which also came with a beautifully fried plantain! The entire meal was delicious and I will DEFINITELY be back to get another punch on my punch card ASAP! Excellent food and excellent ( and quick) service!
