Compact pizzeria at the train station turning out thin-crust, New York-style pies & Italian staples.

I love this pizza! It’s something between a New Haven style and New York style pizza – thin but not so thin, with a decent amount of crust on it. Becca d is dead wrong on her review, with respect to her. This pizza was perfectly cheesy, saucy, and delicious. Crust was solid, and it held its own. We got a large pepperoni and a small commuter pizza (which is a white pizza w/ chicken and sundried tomatoes). Boy, was that commuter pizza good! They are very efficient – had our pizzas hot and ready in twenty minutes. We will continue to order from Nauti.

Avoid. As a newcomer to the area exploring local spots, this experience was unfortunately disappointing. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a house salad for takeout. While the salad was fresh, it was quite small for the price. The pizza, however, was not good. The dough was itself very dry topped with a lot of oil, and the cheese-to-sauce ratio felt off. The sauce was overpowering and bland and completely masked the cheese flavor. It lacked the cohesive, savory bite you expect from a a good pizza.

Nestled into the south side Fairfield train station, Nauti is an unassuming classic pizza joint with big time flavor and one helluva great calzone. There’s only three seats at the counter, so you’re probably gonna get it to go. But, if you get the chance, take a seat at the counter, and dine in. Because if you do, you will get a chance to meet one of the finest and most friendly groups of owners and employees. If I were to attend a Hall of Fame induction ceremony for Ernie Banks, I’d hold up a sign that says, “America Loves the Nauti Dolphin!”

I didn’t quite know what to expect walking into Nauti Dolphin, but after my visit I can confidently say it holds its own–if not surpasses–some of the top pizza spots out there. People were saying it was underrated and they’re right. This is right up there with my fav the one and only Modern Apizza.

The pizza was made fresh-to-order and it was delicious. The store is really small – they only have 3 seats right next to each other – so I highly recommend getting take-out.

The pizza is great here. But they don’t have space for eating there. It’s better to order to go. It’s on the site of Fairfield railroad station in New Haven direction.

Since age 14, I have been getting pizza from nauti Dolphin. It’s one of the best pizzas you will get in fairfield County. I highly recommend getting a single slice if you’re jumping on the train or just want a slice for lunch. Price has gone up a little, but it’s still worth it. It’s a dive on the atmospheric look but a Dimond in the rough.

I usually love Nauti Dolphin, but the other day I ordered the Black Pearl. Normally, it’s loaded with shrimp, scallops and clams. There was less than half the usual amount, and I didn’t see any scallops. It’s an expensive pie, for good reason, if you get what’s advertised. The flavor was fine. Half the seafood should equal half the price.

I always pass this place on the way home, so I stopped in for a slice. I got a slice to go as it is very small, but small places churn out the best food! The slice was excellent, reminds me of NYC pizza! You gotta try it, you won’t be disappointed! I would share a picture but it was just that good, my new go to for pizza place.
