La Rockita has always been consistent. Family owned and operated for years. Every time I’m in town from Charlotte, I make the trip to eat here. The burritos are huge and the tortas are AMAZING!I will definitely come back when I am in town!!!!!!

1-16-20 I had the Menudo today for the first time. I had kinda avoided tripe for the first 4 decades of my life… I didn’t know what I was missing! Such a delicious soup. I will definitely order it again. It isn’t always on the menu, it is a daily special that you get lucky enough to happen upon. If you happen upon Menudo as the special, order it. Yummy.

Best burritos I’ve ever had–the spicy pork is just divine. The ratios of rice to beans to meat to salsa is perfect, and the portion sizes are generous. I always make sure to buy a few when I visit that I can take with me back home. They’re run by a local family; long may they continue to grace our little hamlet with the best burritos in the state.

We stopped here because it had higher ratings than the other Mexican restaurants in town. We were not disappointed. We both got asada burritos (super size) and were not able to finish them, as we are stuffed. The owner took our order and came out later to talk with us and other customers. It was awesome to see that this is definitely a family business and I definitely recommend it.
