Absolutely wonderful experience. We didn’t have a reservation, but Allison at the door (excuse if I am misspelling the name) double checked that there was space and sat us. The food was tasty and timely. We had the Benedict eggs, the French omelette, and a croissant for our little one. I also got coffee and a glass of rose. Our server was Cody and he was super attentive and even brought us sides to see if we would like them with our order (without even asking for them) – the service was amazing. We were discussing with Cody how I had been to ritzy restaurants but the service was disappointing. The good vibes in this place was a refreshing experience. Highly recommend. 🙂

The customer service was great, consistently checked in on us as well as other tables. The ambiance, decor, and energy was good, it’s just a tight space once enough people start getting seated.
Now as far as the food is concerned it was between a 3 and 4 for a few reasons. Let’s start with the shared plate – cinnamon knot bread. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t anything amazing either. It was a case of trying to be too balanced, not sweet enough for a sugar lover but too bland for a not sugar lover. The cream icing I was not a fan of and the bread itself was slightly dry.
For the meal we got the classic breakfast + steak and eggs. The potatoes were 5/5 as they had the right crisp on them. The steak and bacon were 5/5, thick cut bacon slices cooked just crisp enough but not burnt. The steak was ordered medium, came out closer to the rarer side but it had good flavor, cut clean, and chewed easy. The eggs were eggs.
Lastly, the iced brown sugar latte to drink was solid, the ice cubes were huge which I found funny. All in all, I think we’d go again just not soon or we are in the area.

Surprised people don’t talk about Enswell more. The menu is great, they use high quality ingredients, and the servers are very kind.
Great spot for a relaxing lunch with a friend or a coffee with a snack.

Had a fantastic experience at Enswell. The ambience was beautiful and comfortable, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. The menu offered creative and intriguing dishes with unusual flavor combinations that worked perfectly. Everything we tried was delicious and presented beautifully. The standout for me was definitely the duck, absolutely incredible. My pumpkin cocktail was also amazing, and I’m very picky with cocktails. Highly recommend.

We indulged in the Piccadilly, Pear Naked Lady and Side Kimchi. The cocktails were all very unique and delicious and the space was gorgeous. The service here is fantastic, got a chance to ask questions from the bartender as well as our waitress was absolutely fantastic and attentive. We enjoyed the warm potato bread that exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend if you’re feeling a little peckish, you will leave very satisfied.

Had such a great time here. The atmosphere was elegant but also comfortable. The entire staff was super friendly and attentive, and the drinks were absolutely amazing. A shoutout to my server, Jess—she was wonderful and really made it a great experience. It’s also in a perfect location near several popular theaters in Philly, making it a great spot for pre- or post-show drinks. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend!

Honestly, a gorgiana experience. Not only will I marry the bartender (obviously not just because of those decadent drinks), but I will demand the dinner I had this evening as my death row last meal. I was malnourished when I arrived, and the succulent cherry at the bottom of my breast-inspired cocktail held me over until I could devour the duck entree, which chef Andrew must poured his lifeblood into like Cookie from “Matilda” with that chocolate cake. A thousand standing ovations for the star studded cast that runs this restaurant – I would die for you. XOXO

I was in Philly on vacation with my mother and this was one of the restaurants I wanted to check out. We went for breakfast. I won’t go into too much detail, but the service was awful. Our waiter was not personable, and I honestly felt like we had offended him in some way. I am not sure what we did to deserve the treatment we recieved, but for the life of me, I can’t think of anything. He was rude to my 74 year old mother. I can take someone being rude to me, but what on earth could be the reason for treating a senior citizen that way? I also noticed that the hostess who was also kinda sullen, offered to take every other patron’s coat, with the exception of ours. Anyway, the food was fine and the atmosphere would have been great had it not been for the service. No meal is worth being treated like you’re not welcome or that your very presence is somehow offensive. Do better.

Amazing atmosphere and service. We ordered the warm potato bread, Nashville cauliflower, Scallops, and Firefly Squid Skewers. Every bite was better than the last. My Haymaker cocktail was next level. This was plenty of food for 3 of us. We highly recommend- it’s an experience to dine here.
