My husband ordered the lamb and I had the stir fry beef, and both were out of this world. The lamb was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the stir fry beef was absolutely delicious. You could tell everything was fresh and prepared really well.
Between the amazing food and Kevin taking such great care of us, it was a really great night out. We’ll definitely be back!
We truly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be coming back!
We booked a table ahead of time and from the moment we sat down, the staff was super friendly and professional. They actually cared, not the fake polite kind. We wanted to order a dessert just so we could put a candle on it, and instead the server told us they already prepared a cake for us with a candle. That was such a sweet surprise and they didn’t even charge for it. Small things like that really make a difference.
The food was honestly amazing. Everything tasted fresh, well seasoned, and not overly oily. Portions were huge, we couldn’t even finish all the food (probably only ate around 60%), and the staff packed everything nicely for us without us even asking.
My favorite dish was the stir-fried boneless chicken with chili peppers (I think it’s the bamboo shoot chicken). It was spicy but in a really addictive way. If you like spicy food, you have to try it. The shrimp fried rice was also really good, and every dish felt balanced, not too salty or overwhelming.
The cumin lamb deserves a special mention. I usually don’t eat lamb because of the smell, but this one had zero lamb odor. The meat was tender and the cumin and coriander flavor was just right. Even I was surprised I liked it.
The ambiance was another reason I chose this place. Philly has tons of restaurants, but I wanted somewhere that felt nice and actually filled us up. I didn’t want to spend $300 and go home hungry. For around $100 for two people, we were more than satisfied. The place looks aesthetic enough to feel like a fine-dining spot, but it’s still comfortable and relaxed. Even though it was busy, the front booth seating made it feel private, which I really appreciated as an introvert.
We also ordered the potpourri milk drink mainly for the dry ice presentation (it looks really cool). Taste-wise, it was okay kind of like a Rooh Afza rice milk vibe not bad, but the food definitely steals the show.
Overall, great food, generous portions, amazing service, and thoughtful gestures. Perfect place for a special occasion. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes.
Every plate is super generous, full of flavor, and honestly feels like you’re getting full entrée portions for happy hour prices. We tried everything on their happy hour menu, but the standouts were the chili oil dumplings (soft, spicy, and so comforting), the black truffle crispy tofu (light, aromatic, and perfectly fried), and the blueberry General Tso’s chicken (a fun twist that actually works and tastes incredible). I also was obsessed with their green beans!
To sip, the lychee martini is a must. It is refreshing, subtly sweet, and pairs perfectly with all the savory dishes. For $9 it is a true steal as well! ✨
If you need a spot for an after-work hangout or a fun meet-up with friends, this is such a good option. You can share a ton of dishes, try new flavors, and walk out feeling full and happy without dropping a crazy amount. Highly recommend adding this one to your happy hour rotation; you surely won’t be disappointed! ☺️
For entrees we had the deep fried tofu with black truffle, 1/2 peking duck and vegetable fried rice. The deep fried tofu didn’t have much flavor by itself. The vegetable fried rice on the other hand was delicious. I paired the two together and added a little dumpling sauce and it was tasty. My friend loved the peking duck. He preferred it with the pineapple and sauce in a wrap.
Our waitress Ying was super sweet and really helpful. She made sure my tofu wasn’t coated with egg since I’m vegan.
The ambiance of this place is really nice. We saw two different delivery people take out their cameras and take videos.
Overall it was a good experience.
