Barstool Pizza Review – Daniel’s Pizzeria (New Brunswick, NJ)
Reviews
There was only one person there, so service was quick. The pizza was cheap.
Not a dine in spot.
Pizza is perfect for a late night college munchies.
But if you’re looking for that authentic pizza *HIT*, I wouldn’t buy from here.
Maybe it’s their system or maybe the distance of the Apple Pay. Either way I was surprised, customer service and atmosphere are definitely 1/5 here…grumpy… no smiles…no warmth…. I can’t lie though pizza is 4/5 or 5/5…
If you’re reading this, please try to work on customer service… you are making tons of money, try to greet your patrons in a welcoming way. If card declines don’t yank back the box with 2 slices. Relax…
My pizza was piping hot and tasted pretty good. I got a large pepperoni pizza and my kids gave it a 7/10. I’ll definitely be back for a late night snack after a football game some time soon. I can’t wait to try the chicken and vodka sauce pizza.
Customer service at Daniel’s Pizzeria repeatedly gets high marks; staff are attentive, friendly, and keep things running smoothly, making your order-in or grab-and-go experience pleasant every time.
Dave Portnoy, the Barstool Sports founder and social media personality, dropped by Daniel’s while filming at Rutgers for the Barstool College Football Show. On his “One Bite” YouTube channel, Portnoy praised the pizzeria’s quality, especially for a college pie, and rated it a solid 7.2 out of 10, noting the crust’s thin crunch and the sauce’s strength.
Whether you grab a Margherita, tomato, or a plain slice, Daniel’s impresses with choices and quality toppings. The local favorite earns its top recs—and if you’re chasing exceptional thin-crust pizza near Rutgers, Daniel’s Pizzeria should be your first stop.
It was a lot of pennies, but still worth every penny.
Got chicken vodka pie and a tomato pie.
Both were excellent. Thin crispy crust.
The chicken vodka I especially recommend.
Will hit this place up again next week.
Though I’ll say my favorite part about these pies is how you don’t feel “heavy” after pigging out. Perhaps it’s solid ingredients or maybe just the right recipe for the dough. In either case, it’s a win.
