Augustino’s is a lovely family owned restaurant serving up classic Italian recipes. Their garlic knots are superb, we ate them so quickly didn’t get a chance to take a picture. All their sauces are homemade and fresh. Great service and ambience.

The food is ok and not that expensive. What is wrong with the waitress? While eating lunch, I had pleasure of looking at the waitresses’ feet as she took a brake, laying down in the booth next to us with her feet sticking up on the head rest and she was watching videos on her phone with the volume up way to loud. So disrespectful . If you act that way in front of the paying customers, I can only imagine what is going on in the back. That’s where I went to sit with my head on the back rest after her dirty shoes have been up there.

Nice local ” hole in the wall”. Nice menu, friendly staff. Minestrone soup had a good flavor, veggies needed to be a bit more tender. Lasagna was full of meat and held up well.
Tri colored tortellini with meat sauce was good and the cajun shrimp cooked well, good seasoning without being overspicy.
A complete meal with traditional spumoni and a chocolate mousse cake. Not too sweet but good flavor.

I am so bummed to write this but I need to… I am a homeowner near this area and I have known about this place since I was little. It is unfortunate that it is not taken seriously by heirs… the Parmesan cheese has mold in it, the food is ok but it used to be better and I don’t feel the same care is there how it used to be. Neighbors and others won’t go with us to dinner here because of that reason and now truly experiencing it first hand..neither will we. Bummer and I hope they find someone who will truly care about this place as much as the original owners did.

We stopped in this little shopping center because we were craving some Italian food and saw this place. It was a Saturday afternoon about 12:30 pm and they were closed. Their sign said that they’ll be open at 4:00 pm. Such a disappointment and so unusual for a weekend so not a place we’d return to.

I have been going to this place since I was a little girl. I moved away a couple years ago and have been dreaming of garlic knots ever since. I recently came back and have to say it was an exceptional experience. No one seated except for a friend and I. We ordered a ton of food and everything was delicious. Staff were very attentive, and generous. Food was priced fairly. Couldn’t have asked for better. Plan to stop by anytime I’m in garden grove

I ate here yesterday with my husband and I have nothing but praise for them. It’s a casual, comfortable atmosphere and the food was so good. I ordered the eggplant parmesana with a glass of wine, my husband had the chicken alfredo and a beer. Service was friendly, food was delicious and the prices weren’t outrageous. I highly recommend this little place , I know we’ll be back again.

But we’re going to start eliminating stuff like salads and sides as the prices are getting too high. Not necessarily their fault. But a salad is something I can do at home.

This is literally, the worst Italian food I’ve had in my life. Here’s my “tomato, mozzarella and basil” salad. It looks as sad as it tastes. The agilo olio is so bland my daughter wouldn’t even touch it (she’s a pasta machine normally) which is really hard to believe because the horribly large chunks of Italian parsley would assume to hold some kind of flavor. The garlic bread was unbearable and even the coke was off balance. I’ve had better “Italian” food from Pizza Hut.
