We ordered the authentic ramen, bang bang specialty roll, spicy tuna roll, chicken fried rice and crab puffs.
The food was ok, price didnt reflect the quality. It was cozy and intimate for a date night. The ramen seemed like something we could’ve done stove top at home, the bang bang was overrated snd pricey (the kick from the habaneros masked the poor quality of fish), the fried rice was buttery and soft but the chicken was flavorless and it was served in a chipped bowl. The crab puffs were small, reminded me of fortune cookie size.
Service was good though!
Their hhr is daily 3 to 7. We got spring rolls and pork gyoza. It was light and crispy and the dipping sauce was so good.
For rolls we did a shrimp tempura with crunch and Philly. For special rolls today was the diamond backs and sun devil.
The service was quick and she checked on us frequently making our experience today a great one.
We’ll be back soon!
I’ve eaten at this place prior before yesterday, and they do have some really good sushi options. The restaurant atmosphere is relaxing.
Bad: I ordered an item that was supposed to have “steamed rice”. It came out cold, and I let the waiter know the rice was cold and asked for warm rice. Another server, probably her senior/lead, came and said this dish had sushi rice. I had to literally show this waiter, using the menu itself, that the menu showed this eel dish had “steamed rice”, not sushi rice; that was the tuna dish below it on the menu; how does he not know that? Then, when the dish came back the rice was more lukewarm than actually hot or steamed. I just ate it though at that point because I was hungry, I was getting tipsy, but it wasn’t satisfying.
I ordered a dessert which was great, but I got charged $12 dollars for it. The menu clearly had it at $10 dollars. I had to point this out to the senior/lead there and he said, “I’ve always known it to be $12 but I’m very sorry I’ll discount it for you”. Let me get this straight, you guys are regularly charging people $12 dollars for an item on the menu that CLEARLY says it’s $10 dollars? Bro…
Mediocre: I ordered two Cuba Libres (Coke & Rum) and requested more Coke than Rum in the drink. The first one had a little more rum than I wanted, but it was still okay, but the second one came back and it had a lot more rum than I wanted.
I’m giving this place a 3 because my latest experience wasn’t poor, but it wasn’t good. I give this location a C+ for food.
2nd Review:
I came back to this restaurant again since I always eat at restaurants I know have clean restrooms, and this place has their restrooms practically immaculate looking.
I ordered during happy hour some drinks and sushi and took it outside. I enjoyed my food this time, the sushi and such. I’ll probably avoid ordering the fried rice since it’s just okay, but I’m curious to try other stuff I haven’t tried.
I was grateful that one of the male staff saw the sun was hitting me and moved one of the shades to shield me from the sun. I do appreciate that.
Improved food experience. I do believe I will return for another time.
