We’ve traveled through several states and tried many different cuisines, but this was by far the most delicious meal of our entire trip. It was Afghan cuisine, and we ordered kebabs and they were absolutely incredible.
The meat was perfectly cooked: juicy, tender, and full of rich, smoky flavor with amazing spices. Every bite was so good that we wanted to slow down just to enjoy it longer. The portions were generous, the presentation was beautiful, and everything tasted authentic and comforting.
This place was truly a highlight of our journey. If we’re ever back in this state, we will definitely return.

Amazing hidden gem run by new immigrant family from Afghanistan who is very kind and humble. Delicious cheap and worthy of support. Easy parking. I’m adding to my regular rotation. Large authentic dining room banquet hall is hidden in the back.

Amazing experience and food. This is a hidden gem in Clarkston. You should definitely check it out. The atmosphere and vibes are truly authentic and we enjoyed an affordable yet delicious lunch. Only thing is the food might take a while to come out, but that only means is cook to order.

The food is amazing!!
3 of us shared the platter with kababs, lamb shank, and chicken boti. The food was so flavorful and probably the best authentic afghan food I’ve had. They have only been open for a few months so most definitely you need to try this. I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu but the platter was so good I will be coming back for that alone.
Service was 4/5 they weren’t busy but we had to call the waiter a few times. They probably need to let people know the “white sauce” is just ranch. But the food doesn’t need any sauce in my opinion.

Let us start with Uzbeki Palao was good, vegetable Sambosa over crust was good, stuffing was super dry/bland, Afghan Burger wrap was bland wrapped in flour tortilla, menu showed a lot of chicken in it, but barely 2 very small pieces, not even decent size pieces in it. Food was fresh & fast to come out, but lacked flavor. Also only had 1 high chair which was also broken☹️.

Wonderful people and service. We happened to find this little restaurant because it popped up on the GPS as we were driving on I-285. Such a pleasant surprise! The food was delicious. 2 of us ordered the 2-3 person platter and it was enough food for two grown men to enjoy and still have some leftover. The taste was delicious. I will definitely be returning to this place!

We had dinner and lunch there, the best part was the Qabeli Polo, it was just amazing, the best Qabeli Polo that I’ve ever had, I could tell by the taste that the chef was a lady
I didn’t like the chicken kabob though because it had this sweet aftertaste that wasn’t pleasant for me, the tike kabob was a little bit chewy but it tasted good.
Overall go for the Qabeli Polo you won’t regret it.

Came from Chicago for the weekend in Atlanta GA. Found this restaurant on a random google search and decided to try it. I had beef kebabs food which was great, but the naan was cold idk if it’s supposed to be like that but overall it was a good experience. The sitting was nice and the staff were very friendly and polite especially the lady in hijab.

This restaurant is new and it’s menu it growing by the day, but if it’s your fist time I recommend the Platter to really appreciate Afghan cuisine and see what Darbar has to offer- it won’t disappoint! The serving size of the platter can easily accommodate two and my boyfriend and I were not able to eat everything in the restaurant. The best part is that the platter comes with three selections of (not greasy, but juicy & well seasoned!) meats with traditional Afghan rice and fresh cut vegetables to complement the well-balanced seasoning. If you don’t know what you want to eat, this platter is going to please and you’ll love the serving size. Also, if you’re a low spice-tolerance bean like me then no worries since nothing set off any alarms and there are additional spices and chili powder/flakes at the table to turn up the heat.
Darbar Halal restaurant has ties to the Afghan grocery store in Decatur* so they source their ingredients for their dishes from their direct supply where they can and you are supporting the local grocery store when you have a delicious meal here!
Hamza was managing the restaurant and with calls and taking walk in orders he remained attentive to us and made great recommendations. The seating area is small now, but check back in regularly as they are adding new entrees, sides, and beverages to their menu!
