Driving down the highway, I noticed a sign for Jaybird advertising a lunch special: a club sandwich for just $5. Since it’s a diner-style spot, I decided to stop in and sit down for lunch.
The place had a nice crowd, and I was greeted twice—once when I came in, and again by another friendly employee who checked to make sure my order was taken. The service was quick; it only took about 3–5 minutes for my sandwich to arrive.
The club sandwich itself was delicious, filling, and definitely worth the price. From what I saw, the menu has a lot of other tempting choices, and they even sell ice cream. I really wish this place was closer to me because I’d go back often to try more of their food.
Overall, Jaybird is a polite, friendly, and welcoming diner with great value. I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in Rock Hill.

OMG!!…if y’all are sleeping on Jay Bird’s…WAKE UP!!!! Went in at the perfect time..not too busy. Was promptly greeted, seated, and served some great food. The chicken cordon bleu was delicious, seriously. The service was equally great. Thanks Delaney for an awesome first experience of Jay Birds.

I got grilled chicken sandwich and loaded fries – but we eat here all the time and everything is wonderful! Staff is super sweet, to-go food always fresh and thorough, delicious menu, and prices are great. Best little diner to have close to our home!

My mother in assisted living wanted a hotdog. I leave at 10:30 driving to Spartanburg and asked Angel at Newport branch if they could prepare for me to pick up the next morning? She checked with the manager and said no problem. She was absolutely excited and enjoyed the h dog so much.

My younger boys and I met my husband here for lunch because we really wanted a good burger and the reviews here were good. Boy were we pleased. The beef burgers were so so good. I got a birds burger with grilled onions amd mushrooms and my husband got the pomento buger. Both were cooked perfectly, buns were super soft and ingredients tasted fresh. Our boys got chicken tenders and unfortunately those were a little dry but they didn’t complain. Definitely great burgers though.

Been here a couple times. First time was during the food stamp shut down and I went because they were giving away food. Everyone was so sweet and caring and didn’t treat me any different then if I was a paying customer. Food was FANTASTIC AND FOOD WAS AMAZING.

Great little diner! We started with the fried pickles which were juicy and yummy. Then we got the hamburger steak basket with tots and sweet tea. Meat was seasoned well with plenty of gravy, onions, mushrooms, and peppers. You get your choice of cheese, and we got Jack on mine and Swiss on hubby’s. Both were delicious. Don’t forget to get ice cream with toppings. Overall, great food, friendly service, and good prices. Will definitely return!
