I ate here a few days after my birthday while still celebrating and everything was amazing. The food was delicious, the service was spectacular, and I had one of the best seats with a view.

The Ocean Room is one of our favorite places. I was impressed at how many people on staff said hello and thanked us for coming back. The service is perfect. The food is all beautiful and delicious. There is a great deal of creativity put into each dish. We were there to celebrate both of our birthdays and our anniversary. We were treated very special and greatly appreciated it!

I’ve truly never spent time at a more disappointing venue. My wife and I travel a bunch, came here for New Year’s, and could not be more disappointed. They are massively understaffed over New Year’s even though the staff know it’s the busiest time of year. The service has been abysmal. I got served a whiskey neat in a plastic cup on NYE and was told they stopped “glass service” at 7:00 PM. Folks, there are a lot of quality places to spend your money. Don’t do so here. Nobody is helpful, management doesn’t care, and staff don’t either. The culture has left the venue. The golf is great sure. Everything else? Don’t even bother.

Was visiting the Sanctuary with my husband and we had a great dinner at the ocean room celebrating our honeymoon. Services was fabulous, thank you JT! I would say my two favorite dishes were the wedge salad and the brussel sprouts! We split the NY strip which was very good. Definitely a great spot for a celebration dinner.

This is in my top five best dinner experiences I ever had. We started with the seafood tower. This included the best lobster and oysters I ever ate. Then I had a ribeye which was very flavorful. The desert was walnut brownie with ice cream which was amazing. The service was also excellent! I will definitely be back!

This place is exquisite! More than just great food but The Ocean Room provides a wonderful dinner experience. We visited for my husband’s birthday and I’m so glad we did. The view of the ocean was amazing. We started with a cocktail named the swallow-tailed kite that I absolutely loved. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the creamed spinach was some of the best I have had honestly. This is definitely worth the money and trip to Kiawah. The service was also unmatched. Ten stars!

Had a really nice meal here recently after not having been for a long time. Everything was excellent, they can certainly deliver on high expectations. This is a steakhouse and if you chose steak here you won’t be disappointed. However… if the olive oil poached halibut is on the menu, I think that might be the best thing on the menu. Just an unreal flavor and texture combo, wow.

Terrific ambience with highly attentive and well trained, pleasant staff. The food was beyond delicious. I got the iceberg wedge and split the tomahawk ribeye with my son. He got the creamed onion soup to start and said it was delicious. I highly recommend and will return to this restaurant…it’s a special place!

this is the third time we have eaten at the ocean room and the third time seems to be the charm as my last review showcased very poor management.
We were here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was the second time we were served by the same wait staff and we enjoyed excellent service. She went over and beyond what needed to be given us to qualify for excellent service. My husband and I both ordered steaks and I honestly think it was the best ribeye steak I’ve ever eaten. It was not loaded with salt and pepper prior to cooking which really brought out the flavor of the steak itself, and all the accompaniments were delicious as well. We truly enjoyed our dinner.
My only suggestion to this restaurant would be to lock the doors to the outside balcony at all times to prevent people from going out there and hanging out and taking pictures and just generally blocking everyone’s view and possibly annoying the diners just on the other side of the windows. I did see wait staff go out and tell one family they needed to come in. I see no reason why diners would be outside hanging on the balcony while others are trying to enjoy their meals; just lock the doors and the problem is solved.
The restaurant is not a playground.
Especially when it’s highly rated and the food is excellent albeit quite expensive.
