I visited Charlie’s Bakery & Creamery on Curry Ford on Tuesday, February 10 after spotting it on Google Maps while I was nearby. I’m always on the lookout for local bakeries, so I decided to stop in. As you can see from the photos and videos, I captured both the interior and exterior of the bakery.
I chose the chocolate truffle cheesecake. It was fully covered in chocolate, with a rich chocolate frosting and a white chocolate swirl on top. When it comes to flavor, I’d give this cheesecake a 5 out of 5. I usually prefer fruit-topped cheesecakes, so this was different for me, but it was very good.
The only thing I think could make it even better would be a graham cracker crust at the bottom. It didn’t necessarily need it, but that little bit of crunch would help balance the creamy cheesecake and chocolate.
Overall, I’d rate my order a 5/5. The bigger question: would I return? Yes, I would. Next time, I’d love to try more of their ice cream and a different cheesecake flavor.

I ordered a custom funfetti vegan cake made for a birthday. It was the most beautiful cake I’ve ever ordered and it tasted absolutely delicious. The cake decorator Rachel was super communicative and everything was made perfect and on time. I’ll be ordering all my cakes here. Their pastries and sweets are great as well. 10/10.

The owners, Tricia and Troy Hage, are really putting their blood, sweat, and sweet tears into this business, that they took the reigns of just a few years ago. They’re serving some of the best ice cream in town with all the fats and flavors, and now they’ve added bagels and fancy croissants shaped like haybales. They’re great. Their food is great. And I applaud their entrepreneurial spirit!

I recently ordered custom cookies from Charlies for my daughter’s bridal shower. They made the inspiration photos come to life. The cookies were absolutely stunning and so delicious. The cookies were a huge hit at the shower and there wasn’t a single one left. Everyone commented on the beautiful details in the icing. I Highly recommend Charlies!!!!!!

The party started off with delicious ice cream. Then, we decorated cookies at a very relaxed pace. I loved spending this time with my family! Then, again at a relaxed pace, we enjoyed a birthday cake. I loved the pace, and the attentive service! I’d happily do it again!

I usually don’t write reviews, but I am honestly disappointed in the drop in quantity specifically with their cheesecakes. The only reason I have stayed with this business is because it was worth it for the cheesecakes. A reasonable price for the amount of cheesecake you were getting!! It was 8.50-8.95 for a roughly 2-2.5 inch tall cheesecake, which I was happy with paying. I go for a cheesecake today, and they’re all reduced by HALF the height size. Still $8.50/8.95!! I understand that inflation is a growing problem, especially for small businesses, but this is just ridiculous. Make smaller cheesecakes for less, or just raise the price! Really really disappointed. Service is still great though. The employees are always sweet, I just wish this business wasn’t getting so stingy.
