TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The service was great and the environment is extremely cool. The food took 23 min little excessive can’t lie for two combos. The food when we received it was warm at best. The flavor was there though and this was first time so it was solid. Wish the food was hot to truly get a great experience.

1st time visit, had #4 slider n fries, Hot level. Fries have a great cajun flavoring and the dipping sauce goes excellent with them. The chicken piece in the sandwich was seasoned great- heat built over time to a nose run level but all had a great flavor. Will definitely go back again. Dan waited on us and was excellent.

Charlie wanted to get Dave’s Hot Chicken after football today. I can see what the hype is all about. This place is legit.
There are plenty of chicken places with tenders so it’s hard to stand out but one way to do it is to provide large tenders with seasoning that doesn’t cake up on the tenders and that is what is done here. The seasoning is a combo of spices and sauces and to me has like a spice bbq flavor with a varying heat level based on your choice.
Charlie got a No Spice and a lite mild with fries and I got a mild and a Hot. I like spicy things but I never want it to over power the flavor. The hot is likely as hot as I’d like to go for this. All of the tenders were large and had great flavor. Dave’s sauce is a version of a thousand island type but it works well. The pickles are a nice touch to add to the chicken or if you use the bread to make a tender sandwich.
Now the fries…. These are the best seasoned fries I may have ever had. The seasoning is great and the crinkle fries are crispy. I don’t normally eat all my fries at places but I did here.
Charlie also tried the Mac and Cheese. Nothing special but it’s a decent side.
If you like Canes or Popeyes or KFC you need to try these. I like them all but this maybe my favorite.

First time here and I went straight for the extra hot and the reaper. I love spicy and I definitely got what I asked for. Yes that me in the picture suffering and what felt like blood pouring out my nose lol. Place is really clean and the seating areas I. And out are very thought out. The manager came out to great us and was very nice, My daughter didn’t really like the taste of her chicken so the manager remade her order without us really asking. Very friendly staff and I will most definitely come back to try other flavors.

First time going after an out of state family member said it was the best chicken restaurant ever. I was not disappointed! Food was cooked perfectly. The seasonings, fabulous. Portions are huge. A slider is basically an entire chicken breast on a bun. Absolutely will be going back, repeatedly.

Excellent food! We had never been to Dave’s before and were very pleased. We got a giant try of chicken tenders – Mild and Medium. A lot of reviews talked about spice level, and I thought they were exactly as advertised. I wish I got hot instead of Medium. I underestimated how good the tenders would be as a sandwich. Decided to make my own at home and it was truly outstanding. The pickles are a key ingredient for sure. Also want to try the non-chicken option.

First time going for me. I realize it’s called Hot Chicken for good reason. All the sauces are pretty much spicy. You can choose naked (no sauce) and they offer honey packets but there aren’t any other options of non spicy sauces. I tried the spicy bbq which was still too hot for my palate. The honey helped tone it down. I do not eat spicy food at all so I’m not a good gauge. Try it for yourself. Slushies and shakes were Cool
