Great service, great food, great ambiance. Quaint, homey feel with so many options. Superb beer/wine lists and they cover all the bases when it comes to american fusion. Tasteful combinations, no gimmicks. No doubt this place will have you arguing with yourself over what to get. It all looks good.
Compliments to the chefs and staff all around. 10/10 will be back. P.S. You’ll always leave with leftovers!

We stopped in and had the Fuego Burger and the Steak Torta, delicious! The potato wedges with parmesan were delicious, the pasta salad (if you like pickle flavor) was great and the service was excellent. The burger was melt in your mouth and delicious with the onions and bacon
The service (Lacey) was excellent and the wine good also.
The setting is in a small home with quite a bit of seating and unique artwork. We really enjoyed the food and environment. Great fdid, stop in and give them a tryN

Like many others, we stayed in Lake Junaluska for a week on vacation. We were initially going to go somewhere else but the wait was too long so we came here. When we called, we were told no wait which was both a huge green flag but also a red flag.. we came here and are so glad we did! (Later on I overhead they had a wait because the kitchen started to back up, so we just got lucky!).
This place is pretty tiny, but our party of 6 was promptly seated. They serve a pretty decent selection of beers as well as THC beverages (not for me). They have a wide variety of food available.
I got the Nashville Honey Hot chicken tacos. I usually NEVER get chicken tacos because I think that they’re dry and inferior to beef — but I was intrigued. These were the best chicken tacos I have ever had in my life. Full stop. Need the recipe. Got it with an Apple and Daikon salad which was good. Rest of the party got an assortment of chicken, fish and Bang Bang shrimp but I only had eyes for those chicken tacos. One member of our party thought the fish he had been served was not red snapper but another variety such as tilapia — he’s a fishing guide down in Florida so I will deferred to him, but if there was some tom foolery with fish its hard to tell if it was the restaurant’s fault or the supply chain — he said it was good either way. Street corn was good, pork bowl was outstanding, fried okra good etc.
My Mom insisted on paying when the time came and accidentally forgot her card at the restaurant. We called the restaurant at 11pm, we’ll past closing and someone answered. When we told them we needed to come pick it up because they were closed Monday when my Mom flew out, they said it was fine to come pick it up. The owner walked her card out to us (apparently she also cooks and helps clean up; a great owner operator!). Great experience, would go back again.
Great food, good people.

Older home sitting right on the street converted into a fusion style restaurant. We came for lunch and impressed by the menu.
We were promptly greeted and got drink orders. We ordered our food but we noticed two other tables who came in and ordered food were served food before us. We were only three people and no special requests just ordered from the menu so don’t know how they were served before us. Table service was minimal and needed to get their attention a couple of times. Not busy so not sure why service was sporadic.
Food was delicious and really hit the spot. Just need to pay more attention to the service and how food is coming out when

We were looking for something specific to the area being from out of town. Fuego’s was it! I had the honey chicken tacos which were excellent. My daughter had the fried shrimp which we all tried and it was also amazing. My husband had the poke bowl special which he enjoyed as well. The fried pickles, homemade salsa and the pasta salad were also excellent. We’d eat there again for sure!

Black and Blue ribeye with onion straws and potato wedges, Poke Bowl, and peanut butter cup pie that we had eaten almost all of before I remembered to take a picture. This was my first time here for dinner although I have been for lunch a couple of times. The ribeye was cooked to temp and was very tender. The poke bowl was good, but my 17 year old foodie said he wished they had used a different rice other than jasmine. The menu is somewhat limited yet eclectic but everything I’ve had has been great. We will continue to visit and support this local establishment.

My husband and I used to live close to Waynesville and have been to all of the local restaurants there. We drove over from TN today to spend the day w our daughter in law for her birthday, son and grandkids. They’ve been wanting to try Fuegos for awhile now and so we did. It did NOT disappoint! Let’s just say, the quaint little renovated house with its cozy vibe, excellent staff and well, the food? It is now our favorite restaurant in town! We plan to meet there to have lunch or dinner regularly when in town. Our server, sweet blonde young lady, was friendly and explained a few dishes we had questions about. The food arrived rather quickly in spite of being busy. Fried pickle chips, and the queso? So good! We each had different dishes but man oh man, we all took little forkfuls of each other’s and wow!! The giant Smash burger, big burger with a ton of flavor, Honey Chicken just wow, honey chicken nachos were fabulous and the tortilla chips being cooked in beef tallow gave the chips a Masa chip taste which is yum! Then my personal favorite, the Birria Tacos! Ok… just get them! You take the taco and dip in the Birria juice, and it’s absolutely delicious! The portions are just right too, not too overwhelming and perfect. So leave room for dessert which we didn’t try but know next time we absolutely will seeing they had a huge selection. This is now our forever go to when in Waynesville! Go! You will be happy you did!

My wife and I got married yesterday, and after finishing up photos, we decided to take her mom out for dinner. Most of our family had already left, and since it was nearly 7:00 on a Friday night, we weren’t having much luck finding a restaurant with reservations or even a waitlist. We called Fuego’s, and they told us to come by, we might have to wait 5 to 10 minutes, but they’d get us in. That was all we needed to hear.
What followed was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The lobster ravioli, nachos, appetizers, and salads were all delicious, each dish was clearly made with care and attention to flavor. The service matched the food in quality; even though we arrived shortly before closing, the staff treated us as if we were their first guests of the evening, not their last.
When they found out we had just gotten married, the chef surprised us with dessert on the house, a homemade peanut butter pie for my wife and me, and key lime pie for her mom. Both were absolutely fantastic and such a thoughtful touch that made the night even more memorable.
Fuego’s exceeded every expectation, and it turned an unplanned dinner into the perfect way to end our wedding day. We’ll definitely be back, and we’d recommend this place to anyone passing through Waynesville.

Pulled off the Blue Ridge Parkway and googled somewhere nearby to have an early dinner. We hit the jackpot! The steak & cheese sandwich was juicy & delicious. The crab cakes were full of crab meat. The street corn was a winner. Desserts smooth & decadent. All served in a relaxed & personal atmosphere. Highly recommend

We had dinner at Fuego and had an amazing experience! The restaurant is inside of a flipped house (seemingly), so it was very cozy, but spacious. Our server, Lisa, was very kind and attentive and made lots of recommendations as we were having a hard time deciding what to get! We ended up with the nachos, the pesto pasta, and the BBQ chicken quesadillas and we were blown away by each one! The nachos were cheesy and packed with toppings, the pesto pasta was creamy and so flavorful, and the quesadillas were flavorful and packed full. Their menu had a lot of variety, so we will definitely be back! I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area who wants some good quality food and who appreciated kind staff with great service. Thank you, Fuego!
