A vegetable focused restaurant that specializes in hyper-seasonal shareable vegetable dishes, handmade pastas, and natural wines. While the restaurant is mostly vegetarian & vegan, we also offer several large format meat dishes that can be shared with several people. Our philosophy is to focus on ingredient driven dishes, and to let the amazing locally sourced produce and offerings shine.
Our Beverage Program will focus on low intervention natural wines, draft cocktails, local beer, and a variety of house-made low and zero ABV beverages.

The Black Radish is a rare gem in Tallahassee. Food is definitely fresh ingredients and delicious. The Vietnamese Salad with Chicken is piled high, I actually shared it. The dressing is light allowing you to taste all the ingredients. Acorn squash fritti is crispy outside and tender inside to perfection with a little drizzle. Whole ‘Piri Piri’ Chicken tender and moist with a nice spice kick. Sweet potato scarpinocc fresh pasta just tender and melts in your mouth.
Great atmosphere whether sitting at the table or Chef’s bar seating. Matt has great knowledge and provides a great interaction with You.
My suggestion would change the menu every two months but three is fine.

Our favorite restaurant. My husband and I go at least every month and like trying different dishes every time we go. They absolutely never disappoint. We actually celebrated our wedding with some friends and have been here every time we have family or friends visiting Tallahassee. Staff is always super friendly!
My husband’s favorite is the squid ink pasta and the mexican street corn capellacci and I love the bucatini with cashew cream sauce.
We also love the orange olive oil cake so much that we’ve been ordering one to eat there and one to go.
Definitely a must-go if you are in Tallahassee!

Headed delightful meal here on a very busy Thursday night. Sat at the kitchen counter and had wonderful conversations with the chefs, including the one who made our wonderful poached pear, gingerbread dessert. Food was excellent, vegan and vegetarian food, but not exclusive. Pastas were supremely balanced. The acorn squash tostada was incredible. Service was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and delightful.
Please recommend this restaurant to one and all. It’s a busy bustling space so it might be a little noisy for those with hearing issues.

Very interesting culinary experience. I enjoyed the squid ink spaghetti, however, the bang bang bubble potatoes were the highlight of the meal. We also tried the lemongrass and ginger glazed eggplant ( our least favorite dish) along with the Orange Olive oil cake after it was suggested by one of their very pleasant staff.

Our first time eating here in the fall was absolutely amazing. Every single thing we tried was wonderful. Our second time in the spring was a bit disappointing. We are looking forward to trying their fall menu again and hope it’s as good as last year.

I’ve been to Black Radish many times, but had yet to have their special holiday 4 course dinners until last night. And WOW, my date and I had an absolutely amazing experience for Valentine’s Day. Everything we had was absolutely perfect, and the wine pairings for each course were carefully chosen and matched so well with each dish. The Green Goddess pasta we had was… insanely good. Definitely the highlight of our entire meal. The service, atmosphere, and food truly get better and better each time I visit. So grateful to have such an amazing restaurant located near me.

Third time coming here, it’s 12/10 for foodies and vegetarians alike! I recommend this place to any and everyone coming through Tallahassee. They have seasonal menus throughout the year and that only keeps me coming back for more! The service is wonderful! Sat at the bar this time and the chefs were so kind and informative about the dishes. Food comes in a timely manner and is absolutely delicious

I went here tonight for my birthday (there was no wait since we showed up as they opened) I had never been but ive been wanting to go for so long! Kylie was my server, she was so incredible and just sweet as can be. Ive been vegetarian for 14 years so it was nice to go somewhere I have SO MANY OPTIONS at! The drinks were also incredible, the Lasey Daisy and pickin time are so refreshing, I felt like a hummingbird drinking the later hahaha. The fact you can order half portions is so cool as well. You HAVE to try the al pastor acorn squash tostadas! There was a small hiccup with something but Kylie was super attentive and her manager (I never got his name but he had small gauges) was also so cool. The food runners were also kind. Genuinely the most wonderful restaurant experience I’ve had in so long. I didn’t even say it was my birthday or anything! I as a fellow server, and as a vegetarian I’ll be coming back semi frequently as someone on a tight budget. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Ps, there’s options for your meat eating friends [or you if you eat meat!]!!)

This unassuming curb side restaurant is a real treat! The decor is simple but tasteful. If I had one negative it would be the AC is cold so bring a top – this can affect the food temperature too.
No plastic baskets, styrofoam plates or plastic cutlery in sight.
The place is devoted to seasonal fresh produce and dishes built around vegetables (there are meat options).
The flavours are amazing and really complement each other.
There sustainability model and supporting local business is commendable.
The service is attentive and knowledgable and it’s the only restaurant we’ve eaten in the last 3 weeks that’s cleared the starters before serving the main courses – and we stayed in 5 star hotels!! – simple but noticeable!
A real foody place.
Recommend booking or doing early sitting if not.

During a recent trip to Tallahassee for the Iota Delta’s 50th Anniversary reunion weekend, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at Black Radish Bar and Restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.
As a party that includes enthusiastic vegans, finding a restaurant with not just one or two but a plethora of incredible vegan options was a delightful surprise.
The food at Black Radish is a testament to the creativity and passion that goes into vegan cuisine. Each dish we ordered was not only visually appealing but packed with flavors that danced on the palate. It’s rare to find a place that can cater to various dietary preferences without compromise on taste, but Black Radish did just that and with flair.
What truly set our experience apart was the warmth and attentiveness of the host and the staff. In a bustling environment, they made us feel welcomed and valued, attending to our needs with care and efficiency. It was a personal touch that added to the already positive ambiance of the restaurant.
The highlight of the evening was when the chef took the time to visit our table. Having the opportunity to express our appreciation directly and hear about the inspiration behind the dishes made our dining experience feel intimate and unique. It’s evident that the team at Black Radish is not just about serving food but creating memorable moments for their guests.
Black Radish has undoubtedly earned a special place in our hearts, and it will be our go-to spot every time we’re in Tallahassee. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and visit Black Radish. It’s more than just a meal; it’s an experience that you’ll want to relive every time you’re in town.
