Great cakes, pies, and ice cream. This is the place to stop and get a dessert.

But check the hours or call to see if they’re open before you go. When we were here in June 2024, they were only open Saturday and Sundays from 1 – 5 pm.

Oh and great antiques and homemade soaps.

Also, they only accept cash or check!

Some of the best deserts we have had. The peanut butter pie and banana pudding is amazing. I wish they were open more, but it’s probably best for my waist line that they aren’t lol. If they are open and you’re in the area I highly recommend stopping and trying something.

Great little place tucked away on 221. We were visiting Linville Falls and had to stop here on the way home to check it out and grab a bite of something sweet. I had the peach cobbler and my friend had pie, both were delicious! Worth the stop if you are ever in the area.

Although we live very close we always joked about this establishment never being open.

However, when we did find it open (weekends mostly) and stopped in, what we found was a curiousity shop/antique store / European-style bakery full of frothy creamy goodness, peach cobblers, decadent chocolate confections and ice cream all made by the husband/wife proprietors. You will think you have died and gone to dessert heaven.

I would strongly recommend that they post hours of business. Also: sales are cash only. Be prepared to turn off Hwy. 221 onto the small apron parking lot. It’s along a twisting curve in the road.

Mixed berry cobbler was fantastic. Other people in our group got cheesecake and upside down cake and everyone was very pleased. Staff was very nice and friendly. Cash or check only…. No credit cards!

We had the peach cobbler with ice cream and it was super tasty. We visited while on vacation and the owners were very kind and gave us some great suggestions on local attractions. Cash or check only so make sure you come prepared.
