This pizza is NOT GOOD man. Not the employees fault though its just cardboard crust. I think i can count on one hand the times ive enjoyed the food here

Depending on the day, Seasons can be mid or really bussin. Typically not as good on the weekends because they don’t open Bonsai’s (the grill area). The Bonsai area is usually open on the weekdays and when it is, the food is usually heat

Edit: place has gone downhill tbh, i also saw mold on the bread once

Great lunch spot while visiting ISU. I guarantee you won’t leave hungry. Excellent selection

The food here isn’t necessarily bad, but it’s the weakest of the dining halls at ISU in my opinion. I dorm 5 minutes from Seasons and I still prefer taking the time to walk/bus to UDCC. The only reason to go to Seasons is if you are starving and don’t have the time to go to one of the better halls.

Honestly I’m pretty sure that anyone who rated this place highly either has Stockholm syndrome or went there once during orientation. It’s the same stuff every day. Anything worth eating is a once a month event. I can thing of more times I’ve gotten nauseous while going there than times I’ve enjoyed it. Literally thrown up from seasons before. It’s an awful feeling to swipe in and regret it, because you’d be better off just leaving then getting what you paid for. And what’s even worse is the fact that if something looks good there is a 50/50 chance it’s burned or cold, sometimes both. During orientation they advertise rice crispy bars as being a thing you can find anywhere on campus but, it’s just not the case. I haven’t seen a single one since I came here other than the ones they offer for 2 dollars on the main floor of my dorm building. I though being isolated from my friends and living in a one room apartment with a random stranger would be bad but, no one could have prepared me for Seasons Marketplace. I can’t enjoy food anymore from anywhere, this place has conditioned me to genuinely dislike eating. Could be worse though, 2 stars.

Seasons is going to be the best choice for buffet style food on campus. The food is generally good and they have a wide variety of options. They generally use the same schedule each week, so it can get very repetitive. Sometimes the hold special events, like Africa night, where they will have foods relating to the theme.

Dorm food is easily the best part about the college experience. They tell you about the Freshman 15, and that goes directly out the window as soon as you get here. The food was pretty typical when I went here the other day, but sometimes that’s all you need when you’ve been away from a university for a while. Just a meal that was made for a college student.

Soup is amazing, halal meals are offered which tells me how diverse and awesome this dining hall is!

Expensive if you are not a student using your meal plan. The food is average but it is the best dining center on ISU’s campus. Gets busy and loud.

Unless you plan on living off pizza and pasta during your time here at Iowa state seasons marketplace is absolutely terrible, everything is deep fried and sodium loaded , for example the “wood grill” has ribs with 3,210 mg of sodium per serving …. (You’re meant to consume 2000mg max a day) the food is very unappetizing and the menus are very often misleading, often having things listed not available, and the only thing that would be somewhat macro nutrient friendly the “bonsias “ has been closed for 3 weeks straight. If you’re planning on eating after 7 30 pm forget it , unless … like I mentioned you would like to live off burned pizza and stale pasta. It’s ridiculous that students pay a mandatory $2,000 for a meal plan for which most days has next to nothing nutritious. As a first year student I don’t plan on returning next year to live on campus, I hope they are able to make some changes and idk maybe have things that are actually beneficial to someone’s health rather than attempting to give people kidney stones with the insane amounts of sodium in the food options .
